Apple iPod shuffle Second Gen. Silver (1 GB) MP3 Player (MA564LL/A) - Page 3 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
My 1 gig second generation
I'm in exactly the same situation. Found a download on apple's site for a shuffle restore, but it only works on xp. WTH?? I've also been searching the web for 2 days and have found no real solution to this problem, other than sending it in to apple.

Hi. I have my
I would have a account for yourself and ONE account for your kids. If your kids used your account, they could possibly buy stuff using your credit card information if you have one registered with your account. The reason I say one account for yours kids is because you can manage it easier with one. Both kids can buy songs from that same account if needed. You can set parental controls in the kids account as well.
Good luck :)

Does the computer recognize that it's attached? If the battery is dead you could have lost your music. But it should be on your computer so I wouldn't worry.

To delete songs on your iPod you can connect the ipod to your computer via USB.
This should launch iTunes.
Your iPod should display on the left side of iTunes. Click on your iPod and it will display the contents. Select all of the songs and hit the delete key on your keyboard.
If you do not use iTunes, or this does not work for you, please provide more information.
Thanks!

IPOD SHUFFLE 1 GB SECOND
You will need to wipe it clean then put all your songs back into it. Try using a different computer and then put iTunes on it and that should erase it all and then just load your Ipod back up with your music. What happens is that if the Ipod can't read the song, it stutters, tries to play that part, and sometimes skips songs.

You must install I-Tunes on your computer, and put your songs into it.
Then hook up your Ipod shuffle to it and it should recognize the player and allow you to add songs to it.
