Can someone identify the part number of IC 651 and Q654 in my 2407WFPb Dell Monitor?

Why are people giving their opinions rather then answering the question? My monitor just died and I need to replace the main power filter cap and transistor Q654, I need the part number for transistor Q654 as I think the OP does as well.

I'm sorry, i can't help you. The traditional ways of obtaining the service manual have come up short and my contacts in the industry say that because the model is relatively new the service manuals for each particular revision will be available in several years.

2407wfp padlock thx for your help :(

You can try to unlock the display/monitor by pressing and holding down the MENU button on the monitor screeb (OSD menu buttons) while the monitor is powered on. Hold it for about 9 to 15 seconds, then release it. Let us know how it goes.

most likely an internal component. to further isolate it, try using another video cable to connect it to the computer, test it on another computer and try another monitor on your computrr. if the monitor fails even with a different cable and computer, time to get it repaired or replaced if under warranty.

No display

Please connect the monitor to another PC so as to confirm the case before we can probe further. If the fault is persistent then it seems that +B power within the board will be a reference to the fault. Open after disconnecting power supply and check. If this is higher than specified the SMPS circuit needs to be checked. If not check all connectors on the panel for any loose connection or else it can be related to faulty input, failure of the video selection and processing circuit which will require a signal test.

I have a Dell 2407WFPb

The LCD panel has buckled when it fell and it snapped. This is unfixable, the panel would have to be replaced,
Because a replacement panel costs $135 plus the shipping, it will be more cost effective to sell this one for parts and buy an entire new monitor.

You need to take it apart and check the caps in the power supply and fuses on the backlights inverter board, see my pictures here:

I have a Dell Monitor

Try unplugging it from the electrical outlet for about 25 seconds. Then plug it back in and go to your settings if the power button turns the monitor back on if it does not work try it on another working computer. Sometimes this happens when the settings are two high of resolution when your graphics card cannot handle it. Hopefully the issue is not the monitor going bad. Thanks for using FixYa! Do not forget to place a vote for me if I helped you in any way. John

Check the caps, fuses, DC voltage feeding the Inverter board (around 24vdc). It is similar to 2408 as shown here:

Whole screen flickers on and off continuously for

You may have dying power supply, backlight inverter board, backlight assemblies. You will have to do some in-depth troubleshooting and take some voltage measures before and after the problems.
Please read my guide and look at the pictures before DIY repair.
It is similar to 2408; http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/Dell%202408WFP%20Rev%20A02/

If you are going to DIY and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on: Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Dell 2407WFP power on switch

When the switch is rotated to the correct position, run a piece of sellotape (or a strip of the plastic that comes on top of phone or watch screens etc) over the switch. Nearly invisible, simple, and solves the issue.
