How do I get the tv to scan for channels
For the LC-xxLE Aquos models the channels can be setup using the Menu button and going to the Initial Setup -> EZ Setup screen. Choose the home and air/cable options and start the channel search. If you have a working antenna or cable input, the TV will discover all the working channels.

My Sharp Aquos Liquid Crystal model number LC-60LE600U will not power on. I attempted to reboot the system but it still will not power on. Can this TV be salvaged without a very costly repair?
I've had this problem on one of my sharp tv's.
Have someone help you as it's hard to reach around a large tv sometimes.
Unplug the tv. Hold down the volume down and Handel down button. Now, have the person plug in the power for you. Continue holding the buttons and you'll see the screen flash or turn on.
If that doesn't work, try holding just the power button and plugging it in. If that doesn't work, try all 3 buttons.
You'll see the red light flash green or stay green and turn on. You might hear the power supply click on or hear the buzz of the inverter.
If it doesn't work after a few tries, the backlight bulb might be bad. It's probably been on too many hours, and so, the backlight will burn out. It's not worth fixing (if you can find one) so just buy s new one. That, or the inverter is shot.
Newer LEDs do not have inverters so it'll never burn out totally. However, it is possible for a single bulb to burn out, in which you'll see a dark sport or shadow effect.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.
New battery charged and it only runs a few mins and stops, what causes this
Hi,a fully charged or a new alkaline battery should power a remote for several hours non stop, if your's discharges in minutes either the battery cell is suspect or the charger or there is an undue load on the output. Try a new non rechargeable alkaline battery, if this behaves in the same way you have a fault on the handset, especially if the battery becomes warm during its short period of use. You could "pop" the handset open and check for liquid ingress around the keypad which could cause continuous operation, but the life span would suggest a greater drain than I would expect from this type of cause.
