Ricoh Aficio SP C811DN Laser Printer - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

First try switching off and on the printer to reset the error.
If still there the error check the following;

1. Check CN983, it may be disconnected on the IH inverter.
2. Defective IH inverter - replace IH inverter.
3. Defective IH coil unit - replace IH coil unit.

It is a bit complicated to repair these parts.
Better to contact an engineer.

Turn the machine off. Open the access door and remove the cyan photoconductor unit. Check the contact pins are straight and undamaged. Gently reinsert the unit. Turn the power back on. If the machine still does not recognise the pcu is inserted it is probably damaged and needs replacing. How many copies/prints has your machine done?

Here is a way to reset but make sure you follow the instructions correctly. turn off machine press online and escape buttons together whilst turning on machine, when display comes up wait till three options are listed, use arrow button down to select engine, use arrow right to select mode(5.mode) and ok, left arrow to 5.810 SC RESET. OK. PRESS OK AGAIN AND THEN EXECUTE AT BOTTOM OF SCREEN. Turn off printer and wait ten secs then turn back on. If only temp error this should reset and start up again, Good luck

drum blade bad replace it or drum unit

push Menu button, then push down arrow to panel 4/4. The last option is "Language". Click OK, then you will see a list of languages with English at top. Select English and click OK

The transfer belt is not calibrated or the ID sensors are dirty. Read the user manual on how to calibrate it. No manual? Go to ricoh-usa.com

Go into SP mode. Saw it there once when I was just fooling around in SP modes at work. Enter SP mode with pressing the yellow clear all button, then 107 and holding down the red stop button. .

go on line to the manufacturer and look up your model and down load the service manual

open the front door and left door, take out the drum unit after releasing the lock lever if look at the opening from the right you can see a black sensor unit facing inward towards drum clean its inner side with a dry cloth and put back everything it is the id sensor, machine should work now

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent ink drying out and blocking the print head nozzles. If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive. It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer than replace the print head.

When "Replace Transfer Belt" Appears on the DisplayIf the following message appears on the control panel, hold down the [Escape] key for at least five(5) seconds. The message disappears and a maintenance reset is automaticaly performed.

sc220 is a laser sync error. You'll probably need to either replace the laser sync board or the laser diode itself, so you may want to contact a local service technician, as both of these components are internal and can be slightly tricky to get to.

The PCU is the drum unit. There is one for each colour (C,M,Y & K). Each PCU has a 'life' and the machine will ask you to replace it when it has reached the end of its expected life. The PCU life has nothing to do with the amount of toner that you have in the cartridges and they need to be changed independantly.

You might take the cartridges out and shake them to redistribute the toner, and see if that helps.

unplug printer, wait minute, plug in, should reset.
check Ricoh website to trouble shoot if does not reset.

Pull the fuser out ....look around inside the fuser cavity I belive on the left lower side as your looking in..... your looking for a sensor that is knocked out of its bracket...... reinstall sensor and fuser and you should be good to go
