I couldn't find any reset information on this machine, but many of the printers these days "guesstimate" the number of copies a cartridge will provide. Some use a sensor window on the cartridge, that can be covered with tape, but the software estimating has to be reset. A lot of people have complained about this problem, and you can google blogs about it. Here's all I could find for a solution to the problem, and people jiggled the cartridge- perhaps that covers a sensor area:
Our Ricoh printer / cartridges has this issue – I remove the cartridge, shake it a bunch and replace. This will usually get me about 200+ copies before I really have to replace it. It’s worked with black and colors.
Here was one answer to a similar printer by a FixYa expert, perhaps it will help:

cycle the copier 1 to 5 times.. obviously it was either under toned and needs to cycle or you didnt remove the packing material from the toner befor you installed it ...check that too...
Same problem you're having, just different cartridge.
If nothing helps, consult your manual, or contact Ricoh support:

Good luck, and hope this helps.
