Try to factory reset the printer

It’s making te noise of printing or just get the paper and got it out fast ? If goes straight out is the driver if goes line by line and is blank the cartridges are dryed or the injector are clogged with old ink. Time to buy a new one or send it to maintenance

Yes the cartridges of all newer printers have chip that indicates the cart ink level, when the cart is empty the chip self destructs.

Maye a sensor is broken or dirty. I guess I would start by cleaning the inside of the printer with alcohol. Also, see if there is any paper stuck in it.

If you haven't bought one, just get another (maybe Brother) printer. Kodak printers eat heads for breakfast.

My guess it something is still stuck in the gears/spindles. Take this apart and do a thorough cleaning of all moving parts. This is not as hard as it seems but you will have to be patient finding all of the screws that hold it together. Take pictures as you dismantle in case you forget where everything goes

Sometimes you actually have to physically remove and go into Devices and Printers to virtually remove it, then go into Programs x86 to delete the program and files associated with it and then add it all over again, and let the computer search for it. Also, if you have a disk that once worked to give it the proper drivers, the computer might not be updating properly and you would have to go to the manufacturer's website and download new drivers that are updated to work in your Operating Systerm.

Go into Control Panel to device manager to see if there are any yellow exclamation points. If so, uninstall and start up computer.

How to remove or install a printhead on KODAK printer?

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent ink drying out and blocking the print head nozzles. If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive. It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer than replace the print head.

Go to the Kodak website and look for "support" or drivers and download the drivers for your model from there.

Make sure that you are on the Downloads tab and use the drop-down menus to select your printer (Printer > All-in-One > 5100). The first file in the list is for most Windows OS versions (XP through Windows 8). Click on the appropriate link and then click the Download button on the next page. Make sure that the printer isn't directly connected to the computer when you run the program. Then connect the USB cable after the software is installed.
