How do i recover password running windows vista?

For these situations, I recommend:
1. Think hard, was the password tied to something you'd remember by going over common things in your life? Names of family member or important dates that only you would know are common.
2. Try a password recovery program - http://www.recoverlostpassword.com
3. The least desirable option is reinstalling Vista from the disc.

Not starting up

I am afraid if you have a memory/RAM failure or a Hard disk failure. if the memory is accessible try removing them and star the computer. do not remove all the memory chips together, remove one by one, so that we can identify which one is defective. if no display after checking the memory then it is definitely Hard disk failure

I was useing it when it just shut down. I thought

check first if your computer can power on using the adapter only without the battery. if your unit can turn on then thats a battery issue. If you need further help, reach me via phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/elixirjose_00375ea24bd8141b

How to turn off blue keys for an Compaq mini

Hi,

if you are refering to the blue letters or alphabets which are present on the keyboard. HP designs keyboard with a billingual layout in some Notebook models.

The HP "Blue" keys are indeed the "French" input keys or other language keys.

How to use the Blue Symbols or keys on a HP Notebook:

We can activate them by pressing Ctrl+fn+right Shift. To deactivate, press Ctrl+fn+right Shift twice, i.e. Ctrl+fn+right Shift then let go off Shift while still holding Ctrl and fn, then press Shift again.

When you press Ctrl+Fn+Right Shift it will switch to the the billigual layout. That means the blue characters become prioritie.

For example, if you are in the billingual layout, when you press shift+6 you will get a '?' but not the '^' sign.

Easiest way is with an IM client like Yahoo! IM or ICQ. Best thing to do is find out what the people you want to chat with use and download the same software for yourself. Most IM clients are free.

My HP Pavilion dv2000 turns on, but screen is black

If the laptop appears to boot up but the LCD screen is black, then the problem is a back-light fault caused by either a faulty inverter or a faulty CCFL lamp. Please click on this link and follow my instructions to determine the fault and fix :-

Hi, the laptop will not boot up. no operating system found

Put in Windows CD to see if it picks it up, go to install screen to see if it will start to install, if it does then it is finding your HDD. Try the repair option then. Your windows may just be corrupted.
Also try hitting F8 for other options, e.g. Safe mode to remove corrupted drivers.

Please let me know which operating system you use.
generally, if you forget your windows user account password, you need to reinstall windows because that will eliminate any user passwords. If you had a computer user password that is not a windows user password, you may be able to do that by getting into the setup for the BIOS. Please let me know if this is a windows password.

My computer keeps freezing up and is running slow

Hello, there are a few things you can try. The problem may be that you have too many processes running at once in the background, some of which could be Spyware and others harmless progs just being a nuisance.

1. Disk Cleanup - Go start - progs - accessories and system tools. Run Disc Cleanup and follow instructions.

2. Run disk defragmenter from the same menu. This will order you files better. If you try to find a file in a filing cabinet with no order its hard, but to find a file in an alphabetically ordered cabinet its easy and quick.

3. Download a good Spyware protector ie spybot, spyware terminator.

4.Stop programs that are not required from booting at startup. Type "msconfig" in the search or run box, hit enter. Click on the startup tab and here you have a list of progs that boot on startup (ticked ones). Then if you keep that window open go to this link.

http://www.processlibrary.com

Any process that you are unfamiliar with, just type its name into the process library database to see if it is required or harmful to your system. If not needed, simply de-select.

This will take maybe 30mins or so and is well worth doing.

5. Buy some more RAM for your pc. Its cheap and easy to do. Usually just 4 screws to unscrew and plug and play.

Hope all this helps.

Jim
