Try doing a check in the device manager for flags.
Remove any flags and remove any external devices.
Reboot the unit in safe mode and see if you get the same
error messages.
If so, you can remove your sound and
modem drivers in the device manager and reload from restoration disks or partation. Or you can allow windows to reload the drivers after a reboot.
If you are useing
VISTA the best way is to type in recovery manager, and choose re-install
hardware but you should have removed the audio and modem drivers first.
