check the monitor to computer cord, sounds like it might be loose or disconnected. swap another monitor in and go to display properties to see if the tatung is a 2nd monitor. using the replacement monitor redownload the drivers and reinstall. turn off and hook the tatung back and it should recognize it

Right click on an empty spot on the desktop and scroll down to either the Nvidia or ATI control panel. Once you are in the control panel, look in the left hand pane and look for something that says, screen orientation or screen rotation. When you select that it may give you the orientation in degrees of a compass or rosary. Make sure you place the monitor orientation at "0" degrees. This will bring the screen back to normal.

I had the same problem you hear the click but it stays orange which is standby mode never went to red which is on, I also smelled a bit of a burning electrical smell, so I took off the back case and watched the main board sparking and smoking right in front of me, my power supply was fine, be careful before you order a new one. It seems to be a problem with the inverter board, some inverters send out the signal in two halfs, signal for right hand of the screen and one for the left, it seems the left side electronics have failed, the only way to look for any blown componants is to take the back cover off and have a little route around to see if you can see anything suspect, the reason i say the left side has failed, is because if you look at the board with the screen face down, the right side of the screen would become the side of the board. have a look and get back to me, the other option is to replace the inverter.

Since the warranty on the monitor has expired, it's time to responsibly recycle the old monitor, and buy a new one.

Check the power cord. The problem is a faulty powe supply.

If everything else works, then it could be that the pin arrangement of the 4 terminals of the yoke were reversed. There would be two for the vertical and another two for the horizontal. Inverting on each pair wouold give the results that you have described.
