SVA-USA SVA 19" LCD TFT MONITOR - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Model : ev - 1703 C115 ?
Hello,
What is the problem of your monitor? I will appreciate if you can give details on the problem and i will be glad to suggest solution to the problem, once i have the information.
Take care.
Monitor blinking off & on rapidly
Open it up and look at the capacitors. The round "tin can" looking components. If the tops appear bulged, then replacing them may help. Check out the YouTube video... and web site...

Good Luck!
Monitor doesnt seem to be getting power
You need to oepn it up and check to see if you do have 12vdc feeding the inverter board, let us know what you see for further help. There are surface mounted fuses (Fx) on the inverter board.
My SVA Monitor just started
Unfortunately this isn't a solution but a request for one, as my monitor does the same thing. D: Anyone?

My sreen is not turning
1st
Check the cable that hooks to the monitor side. Then check it at the
computer side. By check I mean to disconnect it an rehook it up again so
you no it is seated correctly. On some monitors its hard wired so you
cant check the monitor side.
2nd if you have access to a second monitor (after checking the cables on your monitor first).
Disconnect your current monitor and hook up the test monitor. If you
continue to get no signal or picture then you have a defective video
(graphics) card and you will need to replace it.
I hope this helps you out, if it does please give me a YES that I did assist you. Thank you.

More likely to have bad caps, see examples here:

If you are going to DIY and already try the monitor with another PC, and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Flickers
I assume it is an LCD monitor, sounds like you have bad lamp or a lamp power supply. It also could be wrong refresh rate for the monitor, try changing the refresh rate on your computer.

Installed 19 in tft-lcd monitor on new vista
You need to up the refresh rate. Your settings may be slightly different to mine but this is how I get to it:
- Right-click on the desktop, select Personalize, Display Settings.
- Click Advanced Settings, select Monitor tab.
- Change Screen Refresh Rate to the highest number that is available.

Resolution goes back to 800X600X75 sva 20" LCD
When you can't change the screen resolution then most likely only the default VGA driver has been installed. You need to install the graphics driver of the video card that is installed in your computer.
To check which graphics driver is installed, click on Control Panel - Display - Settings - Advance - Adapter tab. If the graphics adapter is set for Standard VGA then the graphics driver was not installed.

COMPUTER HAVE NO SOUND
you need to check to make sure your speaker is off mute and confirm you have the right driver for your sound card by going to controle panel and open up sound/then go to sound and highlight a sound scheme then look for a black arrow going to the right...click and listen for sound..if the arrow remains grey then you don't have the right driver.
