Its a Hardrive Problem you could try taking out the hardisk and cleaning the pins.. and plugg it in..
if that doesnt fix the problem you will have to press F8 While Booting the Bios test, then choose last know config, or save mode with command prompt
then type chkdsk /f and restart your computer.

If you have your audio drivers installed, go to www.winamp.com and download and install winamp. Buy CD with music. Or listen to free radio stations

Goto hp website and click support or find the drivers section and pick your make and model of the computer. then find your audio drivers there.

you can take sd card and put it in laptop tru card reader.and load music, on the sd then put it back in cell phone

The battery is discharged, you would need to charge the notebook. If the power is plugged in and still the issue is there. Remove the batter and connect the power cable without the battery and turn on the notebook (without battery). If it turns "On" the battery has gone bad.

IF you laptop is in warrenty please book it for bench or you will have to contact the local tech....

Sorry to here about your HP, HD problems.

1st. what kind of hard drive are you installing ? What size and kind did you have orig. ?
I would download disk manager from the internet, or if its a SeaGate drive, SeaTools and run partition manager.

2nd. Also if you have a utility in your BIOS setup to check your hard drive (S.M.A.R.T.), I would attempt to run that utility and check the outcome.

3rd. If your unit has a floppy disk drive, it is probelly a older unit and you may want to see if HP has a BIOS upgrade for it.
Also, if you check the forms @ HP, you may find others with the same type of problems.
If your unit came with a restoration disk set, I would load from that set and make any changes after-wards.

You can try shutting off Audio Hardware Acceleration.

Start > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Advanced (Under Speaker Settings) > Performance.

Update your Anti Virus definitions to current, then reboot your PC into Safe Mode (tapping F8 on boot will give you the boot option screen, choose "Save Mode"), then choose your Operating System and click "Yes" to the pop up, then once at your desktop click Start, All programs and open your Anti Virus and run a Complete/Thorough scan to completion and hopefully it will detect and repair the Virus damage. Then reboot Normally and your system may be repaired.
