The SLP stands for sleep mode make sure that you have a san disk memory card this card is what you should use in a bushnell trail camera.Do not go above what gig they tell you in your manual,try a set of new copper top alkaline duraclells.If your memory should only be up to one gig order one from Amazon.com one gig san disks are hard to find at any store.This should solve your problem if it does not call Bushnell.

Turn unit on and wait for password prompt
Depress the and hold the enter button until camera switches into 5-digit password mode _ _ _ _ _.

Trail sentry systems will not indicate 5-digit mode on the screen, but will indicate _ _ _ _ instead of HHHH .

Press enter to confirm 5 digit mode

Enter 5-digit code 66214 and press enter button( trail sentry cameras will accept a 5th Digit after the 4th digit is entered in the _ _ _ _ screen.

Camera will now go into operating mode, and user can now program a new password from the setup mode.

The enter button must be pressed and held down momentarily. It's as if the processor in the camera is not only slow but stupid. Put in a digit, press enter and hold down for 1 second, release. It should take everything if you do it slowly.

Password recovery can be facilitated by contacting the customer service line at 800-423-3537 pressing option 2 in the main menu. Your units serial number will be needed for this process.

Trail Scout and Trail Sentry camera re-programming procedure.
1) Turn unit on and wait for screen to prompt password
2) Press the enter button and hold until camera switches into 5-digit password mode _ _ _ _ _.
Trail sentry cameras will not indicate 5-digit mode on the screen, but will indicate _ _ _ _ instead of HHHH .
3) Press enter to confirm 5 digit mode (for trail scouts go to next procedure).
4) Enter 5-digit code 66214 and press enter button( trail sentry cameras will accept a 5th Digit after the 4th 0ne is entered in the _ _ _ _ screen.
5) Camera will now go into operating mode, and user can now program a new password from the setup mode

at HHHH, hold down ENTER until _ _ _ _ then enter 66214 (it will take the 5 # !)
It will then say PASS and you are in.
reset your password, the rest will be the same as when you last programmed it

1. Close the camera.
2. Remove SD card.
3. Remove at least one battery.
4. Wait 10 seconds.
5. Put the battery to its place.
6. Insert a new SD card.
7. Open the camera.
8. Default password is "0000"
9. Enter "0000"

It should work now. If you want, you may change the password.

this sounds like a problem with the sd card either being corrupt and needing formating or being to large. if made in 07 or older it takes 512 mb sd card max if in 08 or newer it will take up to a one gig sd card.
