I'm trying to hook my PS2 up to my Digital
You may be connecting your PS2 with a different cable connection than you used previously. If this is the case, reconnect the PS2 to the last television that it worked on and change the video connection settings to what your next television is using. Then power the PS2 down and move it to the next television. The picture should be fine now.

No Picture nor Sound
if you have a led light "on" replace the mainboard.
If the led light is off the replace the powerboard.
It doesn´t matter if the led light is blinking or not.

Vga audio in
VGA does not provide sound, only video signal.
to get sound, you need to run a signal from the audio output of the computer (1/8" mini) to the audio in of the TV (RCA).

PROGRAM COMCAST DVR REMOTE TO WORK WITH TV
Digital Lifestyles 42in 1080p FA2B-42570
For DISH Network users: I found that the Citizen brand remote code #523 worked for the sound, mute and power. This is for the remote that comes with the standard DVR, im not sure about any others.
** This was added to the 32in product page because there is no listing for the 42 inch yet.

When is the TV code?
Digital Lifestyles says that their products are "too new" for the market and you should use a LEARNING remote. Great customer service, huh?

Tv wont come on
If you have not had any electrical storms lately, the power supply is the most likely candidate.
You might remove the back panel (after pulling the AC plug) to look for a user replaceable fuse if you find none exposed.
You didn't mention if the sound also died but if it did, the power supply is probably bad.

No signal
Hi,
Assuming that you have hooked it correctly using the correct VGA cable, there is power to the LCD TV and the laptop is running and can be seen on its own LCD display, then there could be two possible reasons:
1. you need to press Fn + F? key (once or a couple of times. Fn would be whatever is needed for your laptop to activate its external video output). To be able to determine what the F? key is, you need to post back your laptop brand and model; or
2. Perhaps
what might be causing no display in the TV is that
the video signal it is receiving is beyond its capability. To correct this, pls:
2.1. lower screen resolution of your laptop's properties.
2.2. it may also be of help if you likewise lower the screen refresh rate.
Both of the above may be adjusted through the appropriate settings in your Display Properties.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back as requested, how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards.
Thank you for using FIXYA.

Lost sound from tv
Replacing the board would be WAY too expensive just to restore the
sound on the tv's speakers. You would be much better off getting a
receiver or Home theater in a box setup.

That glass has few layers and a large amount of liquid crystal dots
array built in. There are few polarizer in between LCD Panel.
Below is an image having bit

Hope this will clear the concept of LCD Panel vs generic glass.

Removing the base on a tv
There are 5 screws on the back of the TV under the inputs in an x pattern:
X X
X
X X
Remove these and set aside. You should also see 2 screws on either side of the X pattern, loosen these. You should then be able to slide the TV off the base. Remember to re-tighten the loosened screws. Place the removed screws in the base in case you ever wish to use it in the future.

Digital LIfestyles 32
On your remote control you should see a zoom or picture size button. Try changing this back to 16:9. I expect that your screen got zoomed either on purpose or by accident by someone. Some people zoom in the picture to eliminate the aspect ratio areas at the top and bottom and/or sides.
This should be your problem, just un-zoom the picture

Digital Lifestyle TV, 32inch, FA 1B32ZD
Some systems will not transmit audio with HDMI. Obviously this is the case with your system. In this case, you will need to run audio between your cable box adn your TV. The best is digital or optical audio, otherwise just use RCA cables from audio out of the cable box to audio in on the SAME channel as your HDMI is connected.
