HelloCheck the antena first for loose connection.

HelloCheck its front panel switches. If any one among them get strucked, this type of fault can occur. The switches are directly soldered to a printed circuit board. Replace all of the at the same time. They are not too costly. They are microswitches. Can be bought from most of the electronic spare part selling shops at your town. OK.

HelloCheck the speaker of the set first. If it is OK, check the audio output section of your TV. You must have through knowledge in electronics, and all tools to proceed. OK.

HelloCheck the power supply regulator board, for any loose soldering points. If found desolder them by applying a little more solder, whout making any solder bridge short in between adjecent solder terminals. If this does not help you, replace the power supply board as card basis. OK.

Open the TV and check its power supply board for any bulged capacitors or blown out fuse are there or not. If there is, replace it with same size and capacity. If fuse is found blown up, replace it with same rating. its ratings will be marked on it rims. These will be of glass cartridge types, and are pluged in types. They can be detached from its holder and can replace a new one. If the replaced new fuse also blow up as you switch on your TV, make sure that there is some short circuit with this board. Normally, power supply boards are very difficult to repair and make right. it is a best practice, to replace them as card basis. The board cabn be bought from most of the elctronic spare part shops at your town. I hereby attaches two pictures. One is not with your TVs, only to make you know how a bulged capacitor will look like. The second one is the picture of the power supply board of your Tv itself.

See the bulged cpacitors [top side]; red arrow marked ones. A good one can be seen at the top right with flat top surcace.

Your Astar TV has no sound and picture OK I understands and posts this solution. Check first its speakers. If speaker is out there will be no sound output from the TV. If speakers are Ok, the sound card is defective and need replacement. You can check speaker with the use of a multimeter. Set the multimter to Ohms range and check the resistance of the two terminals of the speaker. It should be between 4 to 8 Ohms. If not, speaker is faulty and should be replaced. As in the case of sound card, it is a skilled work, and cannot be done by the user. OK.

1. Light(s) on the front panel are behaving not normal example, blinking, amber color or not steady, fainting, etc.
2. TV not turning ON properly.
3. TV turns OFF by itself.
4. Needs to be unplug to many times to make it work.
5. Humming or high pitch noise heard through speakers or at the back of the TV.

It is blinking because it may have bad power supply module, or it is sensing shorted circuits so it goes into shutdown/restart mode.
You need to do some checking before buying any parts.

Or www.digikey.com, just make sure to use caps with low ESR, 105c, high ripple current and long life rating such as PANASONIC FM or FC series. Please post back what you find. Is there a dark patch when you see the picture, easiest way to check is on the tv tuner with no cable attached, this way you have a grey static screen, if there is a darkness across the screen when it lights for that breif moment, then it may have a broken backlight tube. Had the same problem with my 32" LG.

Yes, the screen is the most expensive part of your entire TV. The cost of repair + transportation will likely equal to or exceed the cost of a new TV.
I would suggest you to try fixing the screen in the near service centre.

The backlight or power supply for it has failed. Use a strong light next to the screen and look for a faint picture. If it is out of warranty, take it to a repair shop.

Your going to have to check the voltage coming from the PS and see if the inverter is killing it or if the PS is defective.
