Hello,
I will advice you try this, unplug the power to the laptop, then take out the battery, then hold the
start button on your laptop for 20-30 seconds, once that is done, continue
with installing the battery again and power lead, then simply press
start on your laptop, this should fix the problem.

Power point broke can i replace it
if it is internal that is broken then you mite be able to get a pc repair shop to replace it but it has to be considered wether the cost of replacing this is going to outway the cost of the laptop as it can cost as much as 100.00GPb. if it is the charger that is broken then a universal is available at maplins, pcworld, and most good electronic suppliers.
hope this helps

Hi,
The chances are that you have power saving modes set up. You need to double click the battery icon you should find on the bottom right of your screen. Once the power option screen has opened, adjust the settings to suit your laptop usage style.

Alt f10 doesnt work on my acer 5630 how can i use
Hello,
You can use the recevery CD's or DVD's you got when you brought the laptop OR the ones you made yourself on prompt from the Acer Software when you turned on the laptop for the very first time.
Sometimes, the recovery partition (which is hidden on the hard drive from normal use), may become corrupt or is deleted by format. In such cases only recovery from the Acer recovery DVD's or CD's is the solution.

The monitor is partially black
If only one section of the LCD is blank/black it is defective and needs to be replaced. The condition could be Horizontal section or vertical section not showing up.
The screens are about $65 on ebay, and recommend opening to get the model number before ordering because they do change vendors and sometimes it is a AUO or Samsung or LG-Phillips.
When i go into the bios of my acer 5630 i cannot
Unfortunately yes. Last hope attempt: disconnect it, boot the pc, shut it down , reconnect it and try again - sometimes this procedure wakes up a defective hdd long enough to recover your files. But in any case it's better to replace it.
