Unfortunately, your XP operating system is not compatible with the unit. See if the manufacturer has a patch for your XP os. Of not, you are out of luck.

Hi ive got a camera

Well, I can suggest you two things.
If you don't have an internal CD/DVD drive, you can purchase an external DVD drive with USB cable. This will be useful if you want to watch DVD movies, listen to audio CDs or when installing drivers or software that comes in a CD or DVD.
Or you can go to a friend who has a computer and ask him to insert the CD and email the software to you. Otherwise you can copy the content of the CD to a pen drive. You can use pen drive or email to install the camera driver to your computer.

Will not work with windows

Hi,

Improve the Fixya.com experience for everyone by voting!

Unfortunately, your underwater camera is a niche product and Windows 7 installs the drivers for the most popular cameras first. But all is not lost because you have a couple of sources for drivers independent of Microsoft.

Click on the following link and follow the download instruction: Download Latest Sakar Drivers

If that official site doesn't solve your problem, I have another answer for you

Click on the following link for the largest FREE driver database on the internet. Driver Download

All the best,

My camera didnt come with

I am not sure exactly which model of camera you have but there are 2 basic methods of getting your pix off the camera.
1. If it has a usb port connect it to your computer and it should appear as a removable drive in My Computer. You will then be able to copy the photos from that drive.
2. If it has a memory card remove the card and place in a card reader connected to your computer and you can copy the photos across to your computer.
I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.

I dont know how to get my pictures from the camera to my computer

Hello and welcome to FixYa

Please go to a electronics store and buy a USB card reader. I bought one last week and it cost $0.5 so its cheap as dirt. Then simply remove the card from your camera , pop it into the reader and the pictures will appear on a drive like a flashdrive in your my computer folder.

This is a much better option than using the camera's cable as it is faster , safer , saves on your camera battery and you don't need to install any software or drivers.

The card reader will most likely also still be compatible with any new camera you buy in future.

Kind Regards
Andrea

Hello, I just purchased a Vivitar

Hello Dorothy,

The company has no manual available online. My best advice would be to contact the distribution company. I have included a link below for this product.

Hello Kitty 5.1 MP Camera Support

There is a link under the product information that will open a box to enter your name, email, and question.

You can also use their Contact page:

http://www.sakar.com/ContactUs.aspx

Having said that....

You may be able to do one of two things: (1) When you are connected to the computer, go to Start>All Programs>Accessories>Windows Explorer. On the left side will be a list of what is on your computer. Click on the little + next to My Computer. You should also see your main hard drive listed as C:\. If you have CD or DVD drives they will also be listed with different letters such as E:\ or F:\. Under those should be your camera with another designation. If you click on that drive the contents should be displayed on the right side of the screen. You can then delete the picture files by right-clicking on the pictures and select Delete. You can delete all by clicking on the first picture, hold the Shift key, click on the last picture, click File>Delete on the main menu on top.

(2) The second thing to try (and I don't know what menu items are available on the back of the camera) but most digital cameras have a Format option on one of the menus. Formatting will remove all pictures.

I hope this is some help. If you need clarification, just use the comment link on the page.

Thanks for using Fixya.
