Sylvania LC320SS8 32 in. LCD Television - Page 9 Questions & Answers
Sylvania LC320SS8 32 in. LCD Television Hi my
The light staying on is afterburn or power stored in a capacitor to start up the solenoid.
The protection circuit has been invoked to protect other components from being burned out. This unit needs professional intervention.
Unplugging and leaving for a few hours will not fix it it will merely delay the inevitable.I suggest it is taken for repair ASAP and refrain from trying to run it to prevent major damage or even fire.
Please remember to rate our help++++Thanks for using FIXYA

Same problem
your sistem(DRTV) might be old and it does not regonnizze the new tv, or your tv is so new it has no codes for it, i had the same problem had to get a new remote that work with both, but some times the new remote will not work on the old stuff, thats a drag, keep trying and go to your manual and try inputing the codes it had or call up drtv and tell them your unit is not compatible with your tv maybe as your a customer they will send you a brand spanking new unit, that may be compatible with your tv.
Have funn!

We cant get the aux channel so we can watch a dvd
The "Game" or "AV" buttons on a remote usually switches the signal sources from antenna to RCA or AUX IN function. If you have lost your remote, there are many cheap remotes that have the AV or GAME button with the codes for your TV. These codes are normally in the little manual that comes with each remote so be carefule not to throw it away with the packaging. Hope that helps.

The on light won't stay lit
Right now the TV is in " Protection Mode ".
Try leaving the TV unplugged for 30 minutes, that way the TV can reset itself.
If that doesn't work, most likely the TV has a power supply related problem. The most common thing to go out is the circuit board that supply power to the screen. Commonly called a backlight Inverter Board.
Mine had the same problem, it had one bad inverter transformer on the backlight inverter board. Maybe something you want to look at for your TV.
But, I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet.
If by chance the TV is still under warranty, go that route.
If not under warranty and If you have some electronic experience, if you can find and purchase a Service Manual over the internet; It will help you diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part. The Service Manual will give you circuit diagrams, test points, and part# lists. Usually, cost under $20. And most cases the new part cost less than $15.
Most likely, the problem is a defective Main Processor Board. This is the board with the antenna, RCA and HDMI plugs. look for any defective capacitors.... or a blown fuse in this board..... if u find them they ll have their specifications printed on them... u can search for these specification caps and fuses in a local electronics store... wud not cost u more then 5 bucks in all at the max...if that doesnt help..... You must replace the complete board. The TV says Sylvania, but it is a bloody Funia TV. Several years ago this foreign company bought out broke-azzz Sylvania . They are still carrying the Sylvania name since Sylvania was a popular TV name in the 70s. Every electronic company in the USA is now owned by the Chinese, so call Funai and order the part from them.....
I hope I shed some light on the subject for you.

The remote instructions that came with your TV will include steps for your remote to search for the right code. This might need several attempts before you hit the right one so please be patient. Cheers!

Cox Cable Remote wont program to my Sylvania LC320ss8 tv.
there are different codes for the devices that you are using. When you want to insert the code for the tv. > Switch tv on and then switch all the other devices off. Insert code. For digi box > switch on and all other devices off. Insert code for digibox. You must then switch between tv and digi box using the buttons on the top of the remote. Toggle between tv/ digi box.
Have a go with the codes below with the tv and the digibox both on, you never know you might get lucky as these are new codes, if not revert back to 1st solution.
Universal Codes (both should work using these, i think!!!!! try 'em)
002,
008,
155,
198,
227,
231
Here are the codes for the 1st solution.
Good Luck,
Hughie.
