Tv power comes on but no picture th name Audiovox

There are two places to look for the problems, the backlight inverter board and the power supply. Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc.

Fuse and power supply look ok to the eye slight

Your power supply on the dc output should have the floowing DC voltages, 5v, 12v, and 24v. Just start probing the connectors of the power supply. 24v is needed for the backlights inverter board, 12v for sounds, 5v for logic board.

Please post back what you find. It sounds like at least you do have the 5V standby power supply working but the main supply is not getting the 'ON' command from the main board, or the power supply is gettin ght e 'ON' signal but failed to turn on.

Audiovox fpe2705 inverter board replacement

You need to verify first that you do have 24vdc feeding the inverter boards, if you do have 24vdc then we can be sure it is the inverter boards. The inverter board will have very small surface mounted fuses, check for that also.

I have power, but no sound or picture

djchillsync is correct - the power supply on these are really poorly engineered and made. Audiovox is trying very hard to ruin thier reputation by putting ou **** like these sets. Contact them for warranty repairs, you may not get them paid for but you'll be directed to someone that knows what they are doing.

Mine started out like that, now flickers about an hour before it comes on. I don't turn it off anymore, it'll burn out one of these days and I'll get a better TV.

Olevia tv start on audio on, no picture

that is a sign of a possible power problem it may be fixed by exchanging the powersupply or some other iternal panel the best way to troubleshoot this is by getting a service manual if your inclined electronically. basically voltage checks and identified fualty circut or board
this happens with lcd and plasma panels the circut may go bad and loss the proper voltage capacities and it cuases the tv to go into a safety circut like this.
have it serviced or check by a qualified lcd and plasma shop they may have the parts you need for it.

goodluck hope this helps.

Audiovox FPE3206

I had the same problem on my Audiovox FPE 3206, except with a flashlight I could see AUDIOVOX when i turned it on and I could see the video when I put a DVD in. It is hard to see even with a flashlight so you have to look closely. Well, I researched and investigated what might be the problem because I was upset that I had the TV for less than two years. Everyone was saying the inverter was defective. Apparently the inverter is what gives the LCD screen the back light to see the video. So I called audiovox and found that thier part's selection was only a power board and a remote control for this TV. I asked them if they could get me an inverter and they did. With shipping cost it was approximately $150.00. They ensured that I know that there is no refund on this part (which is common for electical parts). So I took a chance on it not being the right part for the problem. I replaced the defective inverter myself and it worked. It solved my problem. The inverter is a circuit board that plugs in and has a few screws to hold it in place. I had to remove the back cover first and a couple of brackets inside the tv to get to the inverter and replace it. There is a quite a few screws so I recommend writing down where each came from for easier reassembly. I hope this helps!
