AKAI lct3285ta will turn on, show the akai logo and then turn off
Update the firmware. It is corrupted. Do a hard reset to this set, and then check. Sometimes it might help you. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.

Volumne on Akai LCT3285TA
Often a signal might experience a super-quick "drop" in signal strength, and the display is automatically adjusting the now weaker audio signal to "mono" (temporary, as for best quality). But the dropout is usually so brief you will then see the "stronger" signal restored [full strength], and now the audio is "stereo".
It's like a "bump" or "disturbance" that occasionally affects the cable/satellite/OTA (antennae) signal being fed into the TV, and your display's attempts to compensate for the weaker signal [going to mono, then back to stereo once back to full strength].
Connecting it to your cable directly (bypassing the box) or an antenna would give you a true over-the-air signal, which would be proper MTS and would not give you any more pop ups.

Picture is frozen
There is a button on the lower part of the remote that is a "freeze" button, it will freeze the picture, or capture a still shot. Try pressing this button to "unfreeze" your picture.

Try the audio and video inputs on the set to see if have picture there with a DVD etc
Also possible if using a box or receiver in line they can cause this==I ask as I do not know what you have hooked up.
If a box is used and rear inputs are ok unplug set and box for several minutes and plug back to see if a reboot helps.

How do i attach a Wall Mount to the TV?
Ok, great.Look at the back panel and you can see four holes spaced 4" between the top and bottom, and 16" from side to side.
these are for universal mount.
I think this clears your problem
"Please use caution if wall mounting this product. Follow all directions from the manufacturer of the wall mount and be sure to securely fasten the product to the mount. While the TV can be wall mounted, improper wall installation may void the warranty."
