Maxi-Cosi CabrioFix (Black Reflection) Infant Car Seat - Page 8 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
My daughter is only 18lb's but seems too tall for
Hi,
You should keep your child in her Cabrio carseat unless she exceeds 13kg OR her head is higher than the back of the carseat. Make sure that you have removed the newborn support and head hugger too as this can free up a lot of space.
If she is too tall for the Cabrio and is at least 9kg and can sit un-aided for 20 mins, she can move up to the next seat (group 1), this would be the axiss.
I hope this helps.

Yes you can remove the head support and newborn cushion from the Cabrio and this will not comprimise any safety. These parts are mainly used for when baby is very small.
I hope this helps.

The polystyrene has been fractured into two pieces
not realy, you could try glueing it back together but you need the right type of glue there is a polystyrene type glue sold in model shops its used to stick parts on toy planes!!, do not use supper glue as it will
"eat it!" and this will distroy if for good,
ps,,rapping the baby up in sticky tape will stop it from braking any more things!!!!!!!! rotten "A"

Hi,
If you purchased the carseat without the bars, then this is a Cabrio and not a CabrioFix carseat, and nothing can be done to adapt this to become a CabrioFix.
I hope this helps.

Broken handle
Hi,
If you contact
www.maxi-cosi.com they should be able to advise althought I fear that you will have to buy a replacement car seat shell as I am not confident that just the handle can be replaced.
I hope this helps.

Have purchased Maxi Cosi baby restraint with Easy Base - Iso fix,
The Maxi Cosi CabrioFix and EasyFix can only be used with IsoFix or the seat belt on (preferrably) the back seat. Please don't alter the mounting system of the seat as it will give unpredicable results!
The Commodore name has been around since 1978 so it is possible when you own an older Commodore you won't have any means to fix the Maxi Cosi seat.
If you do have IsoFix and/or seat belts in the back seat then please elaborate on the exact nature of the problem.
With kind regards,
