RCA M202A

I found the best way to delete your mp3; go to start..find you device in "my computor" it will be a generic drive. right click and go to "format" click and it will prompt you to delete "playlist".."audio" or "music". However it will erase everything on your mp3 and allow new downloads. if you want to save some files; Plug mp3 in usb port..you will get prompt to define which system to play files. I use realplayer. scroll down until you can select "rca (G)" click "view" your mp3 will load and display all songs..you can then select and delete any or all, right click and choose option. To load; choose burn/transfer scrool down on the leftside to rca (G) and you can choose from you music menu ( I suggest making a playlist first to indentfy what songs you prefer, you can always add more from all music menu. add any files that you like until full. depending on song generally about 50 to 65 son on the 512 model. Do not worry about too many songs.. NO harm....they just won't fit.... I hope this help anyone with this problem

Don't have a user manual for the RCA M202C Audio Player

The M button is for the menu. Hold it down and the menu should pop up. As for the memory card, look for a standard SD card near in the camera/USB drive section of a department store.

Can a micro sd card work on this mp3 player?

No, it doesn't support "micro sd card. It only supports "SD card".

To know the difference between different types of SD cards, see the following image...

Dat file

first you should try and locate the files on the mp3 player all the music and whatever else is on there and back it up to the hard drive, then goto the rca website and find the latest firmware for your player and download it and reload the firmware that should get everything back to factory defaults

The Led background light might have burnt out. Try plugging headphones in and turning it on and waiting to see if the music plays.

Same here. The only time I got it to work I used the Add new hardware wizard. When it prompts to put in the mfgr. cd I did, and it works fine now. Of course that was at my girlfriends house and I CAN NOT get it to work at home.

My mp3 is just straight up broken

Out dated anyway...replace; cost between $9.99 to $14.99 (512) or $14.99 to $24.99 (1gig) or higher. Walmart or other dept stores..even walgreen have them on sale. Most cheap units cannot be repaired or cost to much to do so. Please forgive me if you don't agree. This is not a reflection on your ability to purchase a higher cost MP3..just a cost saving solution.
