Lost installation disc for vivitar

You don't need any special software. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said first, you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa.

How do I transfer pictures from the internal

I'm not sure that you can do that in the camera. You probably have to transfer internal memory to computer via usb cable. You could then transfer to sd card from computer if needed.

....The memory is full and it will not allow me to

Go into the menu and see if you can find an entry for "copy". If you can, then it should give you the option to copy the internal memory to a memory card.

This is more than likely a Manufacturing problem. A lot of Vivitar cameras have this problem as well as many others that are usually not the consumers fault. Just a glitch in the technology. I alone have gone through four Vivitar cameras in the last six months. The best thing to do is contact Vivitar directly. This is there website: www.vivitar.com It is best to see if you can find the number for technical support. To see if they can give you a refund or replace it for you. I hope this helps. -Richard

No picture appear on screen..and

Try and see if you can play back old pictures that were taken on with this camera. if so the LCD is good and the suspect seems the CCD - imaging device - or the control circuit.
If there is no picture seen then the LCD is a suspect.
To check the CCD and control board it is ideal to take support from service center specially when estimate and spares are needed.
