I have doctor antivirus pop ups
Unfortunately, the only way I've found to be completely rid a machine of this is to wipe the hard drive and reload the operating system. This is an advertisement virus and this particular bug leaves several sleepers that lie inactive making it near impossible for any antivirus to find them. Once you get rid of the active virus, one or two, but not all of the sleepers will activate leaving several more hidden and inactive, and what makes it even harder to "get rid of" is that it hides the sleepers in file that your antivirus normally doesn't check on a regular basis, ie... picture files, music, screen savers, etc.. It will also hide them in registry files, so doing a system repair won't work either.

Why our head phones on Computer are not working
Is there a switch to turn on the headphone port? Is there a control on the headphones to adjust the volume (on a volume level on the side of the laptop)? Also, when the headphones are plugged into the laptop, go into your sound settings and turn up the master volume (and wave volume if it is low.. If that works, make sure to turn it back down when disconnecting the headphones).

Also, do the headphones work in another device (stereo, etc..)?

The easy connect cable keeps going to windows 7 intead of windows xp
simply remove hard drive and connect it externally with usb connector for hard drive depending on type sata or ide cable is pretty inexpensive.

Dvd/cd rom not recognised
The DVD drive may not be making proper connection. Remove and install the DVD drive and if the DVD drive is not detected in the BIOS the the DVD drive is faulty and needs to be replaced.

No Sound
Hi, this is Kogumayo again who raised the no sound issue for the P105-S6217. In the device manage, by using driver setting tab, I was able to roll back the driver so that sound has come back !! Hope this method work for those who have the same issue.

How to instal sound driver

click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll to sound video and game controllers you might see a yellow question / exclamation? ! mark or a red X Right click to reinstall drivers

if your computer came with a motherboard disk the drivers could be on it

or you might download slimdrivers

rather doing a driver hunt

which will automatically search for and find the correct driver

Installed new hard drive p105 s6064 now cd drive wont work dont have recovery discs
Dell recovery will not work in a Toshiba Laptop. Just make sure the boot order is set to CD/DVD driver first that will automatically start the CD/DVD driver when disc is loaded.

My girlfriend forgot her password
We'll hope she hasn't entered a BIOS password...seems doubtful. On a differerent computer. you can find a download site where you can obtain the Geek Squad MRI disc, burn it and boot her computer from that CD. In the password section you can activate Samurai Password program and it will erase the passwords and she can start over.
