AOC Envision L32W461 32 in. LCD HDTV Questions & Answers
I have an AOC 42 inch hdtv , my problem was it on by it self as well as the volume goes ups and down,I can't even control it by doing it manually or by the remote..
it seem like capacitor is gone, as it is obvious that you do have limited knowledge of the tv, i would suggest sending it to the workshop, most aoc tv have two or three year warranty, you can check they warranty on this site:
http://us.aoc.com/support/warranty
select product and then model number and follow instructions, if it is still under warranty - your problem is solved, fill online form and that will be that, in most countries they even organise pick-up.
if it is out of warranty, on this same site you can find recommended repairer.
hope this will help you solve the problem, do not forget to vote...
How do I get a signal
You need to plug an RF cable into the RF Input. Connect that to a TV antenna, cable, or satellite receiver. You will need to run a channel scan to allow your TV to know what channels are available.

The source menu on my tv keeps flashing and volumn goes up and down by itself
Pull the batteries out of your remote. Does it still flash and yell at you? If no, replace your remote. If yes, call the manufacturer, they should be able to point you in the right direction regarding your Envision. I'm not very familiar with your model, but it's not a problem I've encountered before. Since your remote doesn't work perfectly anyway, it could be causing exactly what it is that your describing. Your OK button could be stuck in the depressed position, like it's being held down, and since it's usually near the volume buttons, it seems to be the most likely cause.
How do I change the
Look for the manual control button the said INPUT.Pushes couple times, now u will move within HDMI modes like 1,2,3.
How much would it cost to get the LCD screen
It normally is going to cost you more between parts and labor to replace the lcd screen than it is to buy a new 32" lcd.
If you are still covered under the manufactures warranty you could check with them.
I need the remote code
Hello
If no codes works with your TV there is one way. Just check it.
Setting the remote is easy but takes a bit of patience.
First, ensure that your TV is on.
There are four translucent function buttons at the top of the remote. They are translucent because they light up red to indicate engagement of the button by being depressed as well as to indicate which of four modes is being utilized by a corresponding depression of another button on the remote. These include "SAT", "TV", "VCR", & "AUX".
Press and hold the translucent "TV" function button at the top middle-left hand side of the remote until all four function buttons light up.
Release the "TV" function button
Quickly press and release either the smaller red TV power button or the singular red power button depending on remote model. The "TV" function button will blink and then light steady
View of the Navigation buttons on the Dish Network Remote Control
Now you will use the up/down navigation arrows to find the code for your TV. To do this, start by repeatedly pressing then releasing the up arrow until your TV powers off. Each time you press the button, the "TV" function button will blink. Take a moment between each press of the button to allow your TV to respond by powering off.
OK.
Blak sceen
First, look at the screen in darkened room to see if you can see any slight glow from the screen, if it does, then the problem can be the T-CON (not getting the 12vdc) or the main logic board not feeding the signals to the T-CON board.
if not, next place to check will be the power supply module, make sure it has 24vdc which is required by the backlight inverter to work, the reason for not having 24vdc can be from bad DC filter caps (leaking/bulging top, high ESR) or short circuits in the inverter board which will cause the 24vdc supply to go into shutdown mode, so you may have to disconnect the power cable that feed the inverter board to see if the 24vdc will work without the inverter board hookup, you will need to apply about 3~4 amp of load to the 24vdc to make sure it can handle that. There are fuses on the backlight inverter boards also. So there is some troubleshooting you will have to do to find out the causes of the problem you are having.

Power locked
Considering you have been patiently waiting for almost two weeks, you probably have found a cure by now.
If you have, please post it as a comment to help others.
If I had seen this before, I would have suggested pulling the AC plug overnight to see if it would reset itself; all modern sets are very complex making them prone to unintended actions of the kind we live with on our crummy PCs.
Broken screen
HELLO
I'm afraid if the screen is broken then it is a scrapper! The amount of money you would have to spend on it would EXCEED the price of a new TV.
This is the legacy of LCD & Plasma TV's!!
Frustration with Television and setting up VCR
VCRs do not have HDMI hookup, they are to old for that new technology.
The TV should have a setup menu, and a way to select what "source" the picture will be coming from.
You select the input to the TV that you want to see.
I'm unsure what the stereo comment is.
