Try to re-seat your cartridges into the printer.

1. Open the printer cover.
2. Remove both cartridges from the printer.
3. Close the printer cover.
4. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it.
5. When the printer turns on, re-insert your color cartridge first. Close the printer cover and check for any errors.

If you can make a copy using the Copy button on the printer operator panel without a problem, then it could be a communication problem between your printer and the computer. A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply reboot your pc and unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When everything is back on, try to print again.

1. Make sure the printer is on.

2. Open the printer cover. The print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position, unless the All-in-One is busy.

4. Close the printer cover.

6. When the printer turns on, reinsert one cartridge first.

7. Close the printer cover and check for any errors.

8. If no error appears, reinsert the other cartridge. Close the printer cover.

Print quality issues could be due to clogged cartridge nozzles. Please follow the steps below to clean the print cartridge nozzles:

1. On your computer, go to Start > All Programs / Programs > Lexmark 1200 Series > Lexmark Solution Center.
2. From the Maintenance tab, select Clean to fix horizontal streaks.
3. Your printer will then print a clean test page forcing ink through the cartridge nozzles and clean them.
4. Try to print again.

Try to use the downloadable Lexmark X1270 printer driver from the Lexmark website. First, disconnect the printer from your computer. Uninstall the existing printer driver from your computer. Go to Start menu > All Programs / Programs > Lexmark 1200 Series > Tool > Uninstall. After the uninstallation process, reboot pc when prompted.
When the printer turns, go to the Lexmark website at http://bit.ly/aKlcOJ to download the new printer driver. Select your operating system, download and execute the file. Follow the instructions on your computer screen.

Try to remove the sheets of paper from the feeder. If you are physically able and willing, carefully turn the printer upside down. Any foreign objects or debris that may have accidentally fallen into the feeder should just freely roll out of it. If feeder is clear, place the printer down. Open the printer cover and make sure the paper path in the cartridge area is free from obstructions. Close the printer cover. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reload some paper and try to print again.

What you can do is unplug the printer from the power outlet and let it sit whilst deleting the jobs from the print queue on the PC.

On a windows machine you want to got to START, Control panel, Under printers, open up the printer and click on each task and delete or cancel, then reboot the computer.

Most of the time this can be fixed by turning off the printer on the mains supply, leaving it for about 15secs and then turning the printer back on again.A lot of the time a flashing status light either means that there is (or was) no paper in the printer, therefore you'll need to add some and press the paper feed button. Or the paper has jammed so you need to remove the blockage and reset the printer (turn it off and back on by the mains).Most problems can also be solved by restarting your computer.Regards,

There could be something the paper path. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder. Grab a flashlight and look into the feeder for any foreign objects that may have accidentally fell into it. Make sure there are no obstructions in the paper path. Open the printer cover and remove the cartridges. Check around the cartridge area and make sure there's nothing blocking the path for the paper. If all is clear, unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, re-insert the cartridges. Close the cover. Load some paper and try to print again.

turn off printer, remove cartridges (color--there are two cartridges to install , color and black )
make sure the peel off tabs have been removed from the cartridges and re-install accordingly

The best thing to do first, is to first uninstall you printer and than re-install your printer and download the newest printerdriver for Windows Vista.

Get the install program from Lexmark's website, for free and follow the directions exactly. Many printers only partially work if you plug and play.....

Hi, According to your problem first check and make sure that the color cartridges are not blank. some time it may happens after two or three times refilling. in that case you have to replace the cartridges. First clean the cartridge head and align them. Make sure that the cartridges are moving properly. Check the printer settings also. IF it doesn't solve your problem then replace the cartridges.
