Push down on the colored cartridge lever at the front of the carrier to unlock and pop up the cartridge lid.

Pull the spent cartridge from the printer.

Pick up your new cartridge. Pull the sticker and tape gently from the back and bottom to reveal the gold metal electrical contacts.

Insert the new cartridge into the print cartridge carrier with the electrical contacts facing down. Press the cartridge gently but firmly into the carrier so that the contacts on the cartridge touch the contacts in the carrier.

Close the cartridge lid over the new cartridge until it clicks into place.

Lift the scanner unit up slightly so that the scanner support arm unlocks. While holding the unit up with one hand, push the support back into its storage slot with your other hand and carefully lower the unit back into its original position on your printer.

Press the third button down from the top on your control panel---marked by an arrow pointing from a scanner icon to a computer icon---for three seconds to print out a print alignment page. When finished, follow the on-screen instructions.
