Sumsung 600CLP Lazer Jet printer has a squeeking

I assume the printer is at least a couple years old or it has been used extensively.

The squeaking could be caused by some normal wear and tear of the printer. If you feel daring enough, you'll need to remove the side covers of the printer and locate the gears connected to a shaft on one side of the printer. Each shaft goes to the opposite side of the printer, where it ends in a bushing. The bushings wear out and start to squeak. You can lubricate the bushings with a very small amount of white lithium grease, taking care not to put any grease on the roller.

Printer will not power up.

If the Printer does not power up, and you tried another outlet and power cord, the problem lies with the power supply in the printer. Unit will need to be taken in for repair.

thanks adi

Printed a document in grayscale mode. Upon return

Hi.

Disconnect printer power cord for one minute to reset the machine.

Go to printer settings and check that you are not in economy or fast print mode, or the printer will use less color to save toner.

Check resolution and try increasing resolution settings, that should fix the color.

Regards.

Printing bad color, but ink

Hi,

First ty printing the demo page using the below procedure:
Printing a demo page will make sure that the printer is operating
correctly.
To print a demo page:
In ready mode, press and hold the On Line/Continue button on the control panel for 2 seconds to print a demo page.A demo page showing the printer’s features and capabilities is printed.

If the demo page gets printed correctly then, you have check the printer settings whether the quality is set to normal or best quality..

If the demo page doesn't get the colors perfectly, try removing the toners and try shaking it and installing, as it helps in redistributing the toner to spread evenly..

Still if you have problem then , try downloading the manual from the below link

CLP-600-Printers-manual/id/260dj286/t/2/">http://www.retrevo.com/support/Samsung-CLP-600-Printers-manual/id/260dj286/t/2/

The page number 54 or section 7.12 helps to correctly identify, what type of printing quality problem you have and it helps to solve it easily

Please leave me comment, if you need further assistance

Low heat error cycle power

Hi there,

The error means the fuser unit on your printer may possibly be defective or have a problem. Try switching printer off at the wall, waiting a few minutes and turning it back on. If the same message repeats itself after each time (try it a few times), the fuser unit will need to be replaced. The problem is that it is not heating up enough to allow the toner to fuse properly to the printer paper. (it needs neat for this which the fuser unit is obviously not producing).

SAMSUNG CLP600 COLOUR QUALITY

I've had the same problem with color problems, especially with cyan (blue). I have found that many of the toner cartridges I receive are defective. When I receive a new one, I try it out for a few pages. If the color isn't perfect I return the cartridge and get a replacement. After 1-2 tries, I get one that puts down good color. (A really bad solution I know, but it does get the job done.)

Question: Samsung CLP-600N, Vista

Possibly two problems here.

1) Printer on before PC to get a print - an IP address problem ??

Is the IP adress of the printer a STATIC address (usually works better and more reliably), or is obtaining its address from a DHCP server (typically a router, wireless router etc)

Doing an Information print (MENU, ENTER, ENTER) should tell you how the printer is set.

2) Unable to get multple copies.

Possibly a driver problem - get the first sorted out then see if it still does it.

Color Printer fan error

The SMPS Fan Error is caused by slow or no rotation of the SMPS Fan. The firmware solution from Samsung disables monitoring so if the fan stops the printer will keep working. Thankfully, it's not physically hard to fix this issue though and can be done by removing 9 screws and using a little oil.

I've actually posted a step by step guide to fix this here.
