I do believe that the low heat error is talking about having low heat at the paper fuser (the part of the printer that makes the writing stick to the paper). This can either be caused by a bad fuser or by a bad controller board that is connected to the fuser. There is not much that you the user can do to fix this problem. I would take the printer to an authorized repair center in your area.

It is most probably a problem with the power supply inside the unit. If the unit switches on, but black squares appear on the display, it is a capacitor that is blown (most probably a 10v 1500uF capacitor) otherwise if the unit does not power up at all, the fuse on the power supply has blown.

If the ghosted image is roughly 3 in from the primary image and is about 1/4 the intensity then the printers high voltage board has gone out of phase. No adjustment can be made to this board by the user. Get the printer serviced or replace it.

If your scaner motor continues to run or skip while the unit is first powering up there is a problem with the comunication from the scaner to the main system board in the back of the unit. This is not an issue that can be resolved with out voiding any warranty since you will have tp remove the back plate of the printer. Most common causes bad scanner motor, dirt or toner dust in the conections to the main board, or a damaged data cable(silver).

Laser Scanner Unit or LSU is what writes to the surface of the drum. The glass above the cartridge in the machine may be dirty. The mirror motor in the LSU could be bad or needs to be cleaned to spin better. The Laser diode could be faulty.

This is not a user-serviceable issue. You will need to contact Samsung for service. You can do it online via Samsung website or contact the vendor to see who will they appoint to service the printer to, especially if it is still under warranty.

Open Heat Errors on the Samsung 4200 are caused by an interuption in powerflow thru the fuser unit. This is caused by one of two things. 1) The Power supply board is not putting out enough power to the fuser unit. 2) The fuser unit has a bad heat bulb or thermister. You can not really check these effectivly without having either replacements on hand or the full tech sheets and a multimeter. I am sorry to say buying a new printer or a replacement fuser unit will be your best bet.

LSU stands for Laser Scanning unit. In all but a very few cases only a new laser will cure this error.

You need to cancel the print job.

Do this by navigating to the Windows control panel and double click printers and faxes.
Now double click on your printer.

A print que box is displayed on your screen.
Click the Printer tab, top left, then click cancel all documents.

An alternative is to right click on a specific print job and click cancel print job.
