You lost the standby 5vdc power supply and may be a lot of bad caps, very common problem with this model.
Check the power supply; look for bad caps with leaking/bulging tops, check to see if you have standby +5vdc at the power supply connector, the front red indicator will not be on if you do not have this +5vdc standby voltage due to shorted out Q7 and ZD4.

Hello,

your TV is having a power problem. Its receiving power but it cannot transfer the current to the necessary part of the TV because a capacitor, diode, etc may have been faulty. Until these bad components are replaced, the TV might not come on. Also check the AC outlet to be sure electricity is actually entering into the TV.

If you know about TV repairers, I would suggest that you open the TV and read the power part/panel with a meter, detect the bad component and replace it. Take note that TV stores a lot of current that can shock, so leave the TV for a while before you open it.

If you don't know about TV repairers, take the TV to the nearest repairman to fix the fault for you.

Common failure in this TV is the caps in the power supply are bad and also failed 5VDC standby supply stops working (if you do not see red indicator light on the front panel, the it is bad), and backlight inverter bd.

You either have failing 24vdc POWER supply caps or the inverter board is going out.

It is becuase your PC video resoliton is too high for this TV to display, max resolution for the PLTV3250 is 1366 x 768 @ 60 Hz.
Also watch out for this TV power supply to go out due to bad caps and it will take out the transistor and Diode with it.

This could quite likely be bad capacitors. Many TVs had bad parts that took a couple years to show up. Read my cap bulletin for more info

Check the power supply, you must have at least the +5vdc standby voltage at the power output connector, look for bad caps withleaking/bulging top, you may also have shotrted out Q7 and ZD4 in the +5vdc standby power supply section. Hopefully you do not have failed inverter bd. too. The power supply module and the inverter board are common parts that failed.

You need to check and find out if you do have standby +5vdc at the power supply connector, if you do and the the Red indicator on the front is not on, then you have the problem in the main logic board. Post back what you find.
