Hp laserjet m5035 mfp error 49 ff04
Hi,
I think you are since the dc controller only controls paper movement and nothing else. A 49 error is a firmware error and has many causes from applications, network and just defective formatter. If the errors occurs with the printer not connected to anything, then the formatter would be the logical issue if the firmware has been updated. Keep in mind having a jet direct card in the slot can cause the error, so the only true way to test is with everything removed with the exception of firmware, memory and power. Also keep in mind that if the 4250/4350 series power is derived from the lvps and not the dc controller. Also with this model the embedded jet direct card is known to occasionally have issues. When you upgrade the firmware for the formatter it also upgrades the firmware on the embedded nic card. Again the only true way to test would be to disable the embedded nic card on powerup.

Password in motherboard m5035
Cold reset requires no password. Go to the machine and turn it off. Power it on and when the memory count starts, hold down the 6 button on the keypad. Hold until all three leds turn on and stay on. Release the 6 button, press the 3 button until display reads "cold reset", press 6 once more and printer will restart.

Error 10.10.00
Hi leslie,
First, is to reseat the toner cartridge and turn the machine off and back on. Second, obviously is to check and replace the toner cartridge. Like every other toner cartridge error majority of the time it's related to a third-party or rebuilt toner cartridge so replace the toner cartridge. Lots of times these errors happen right after people replace their toner cartridge. For some reason they believe because it's a new toner cartridge that can't possibly be the issue. For me that's a dead give away they have a bad cartridge. Before you call a technician in for service make sure you replace the toner cartridge with a new one first. Preferably with a OEM HP toner cartridge. Third, is to check the memory tag assembly, RM1-6284-000CN. Make sure it's properly seated in the machine and the contacts that mesh with the chip on the toner aren't bent. Finally, make sure that the memory tag connector is fully seated at connector J1703 on the ECU. The connector is behind the main cooling fan so it might need removed to check the connector.
