Unfortunately nothing. The camera does not have the ability to play back any sound during movie recording as it does not have any way to capture audio. The camera was not designed with this type of functionality.

Make sure the camera is on and pc is selected on the camera screen when connected to the computer. You will need to have PC highlighted and select ok on the camera as this starts the camera and computer to communicate. Once communication established the LCD screen of the camera goes dark and the computer should generate a removable disk drive. Check the System Tray (lower right corner beside the PC time) for Safely Remove Hardware. When you click on it, it should read "Safely Remove USB Mass Storage Device Drive ?:" If you dont see that, then check the Device Manager to see if the camera is recognized as USB Mass Storage Device. Have you tried to reset the camera back to factory default settings? To do that: go to the Menu left arrow to reset and press ok. Highlight Yes and press Ok. This will reset the camera back to the factory settings see if the images still come out blurry.

check the battery door to see if the contacts are making good contact with the battery.

Possibly not, try another camera lead in a different USB port.
If its the same format the camera card and try again, if you still get the same result, the camera is faulty.

As long as the xD card was not formatted it is possible to recover the images that were accidently erased or unable to be downloaded to computer. You can go to the following website link and download an image recovery software program that is free of charge.

You want to download a program called Zero Assumption Recovery. It is a very simple program to use and people have had much success in recovering images.

The problem is that the largest xD card that your camera can support is a 256mb card. The M or H 256mb cards are not compatible. The firmware in the camera cannot support memory storage of that type. The camera came out before those cards did and there no plans to upgrade the camera to allow those types of cards to be supported.

If you do not see a removable disk drive then you need to check the device manager to make sure the camera is detected properly. If you need assistance with this then call Olympus technical support line at 888-553-4448 option 5.
