Dropped my camera - now the cord to load pics to computer will not insert into camera all the way and so can not load pics ??

Take your media card out of the camera and insert it directly into your computers media slot. Or use a card reader. No need for the cord.

Olympus SP-550 UZ - the lens will not come out. Says Zoom error.

Take it to a good camera shop some do repair most dont. The problem most likely is the pinion gear has been moved off the gear that runs the lens in an out. I have gently taken them apart before anrepaired them. It is a trying job, believe me. This is why I never recommend point an shot camera to anyone. You cant remove the lens an the slightest bump will disturb those cameras. You have a noce camera, but I hope someone will try to set it right for you.

Will not do nothing

I had same issue. The battery was empty, and even with USB cable cannot be charge it. I took apart , couldn't fix it so put it together. I had a different brand digital camera battery charger which I modified to charge up this battery. After full charge my digital camera started working. Now I can recharge with USB cable as well.

How do I fix my Olympus VG-120? It freezes while recording video and taking pictures. What could be causing this?

Memory cards have different write speeds. When making a video it's best to use a series 10 card. This number has nothing to do with the capacity of the card but does have a faster read/ write speed.

My pictures are distorted when I take then

You didn't provide a camera model or describe how your pictures are distorted. However, just try these preliminary steps to start with. First make sure you have a fully charged battery, your lens is opening and clean, then reset the camera's options to factory default options. See if the problem is resolved.

I have just installed a new battery to my omlympusvr310 but now it wont turn on

I would confirm that you are installing the batteries correctly (Positive is the +, Negative -)... I would also confirm that your NEW BATTERY is also GOOD. On more than one occasion, I have purchased a NEW BATTERY just to discover it was defective.

Why is my camera taking picture in reverse through the viewfinder?

This sounds like a mechanical problem inside the camera. If it has a flip-up mirror behind the lens, for example, the mirror may be stuck in the up position. Have it serviced by a qualified technician.

Stylus 850SW - no image through the lens. Display shows old pics and all menu items.

Please don't try to do a firmware upgrade, on a device that is not working 100 %. You need a good working device, to be sure the software is placed in the flash memory, as it was meant to be. I don't think there will be any firmware around for this camera. So if anything is wrong with the camera, first try to find out what it is. Solve the problem, and only then (if available) upgrade.

When I turn on camera it comes up Write Protect. Won't let me erase or take photos.

You didn't give the model of your Olympus camera so I'll assume it uses SD cards. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Why is the image in the view finder blurry

There could be several reasons. The camera isn't focused. Adjust the focus. The diopter is not set properly. Some cameras have a viewfinder diopter adjustment. This is similar to putting eyeglasses on the camera. Just as things will look blurry to you if you look through someone else's glasses, the viewfinder will be blurry if the diopter is not set properly for your vision. I wish I could tell you how to adjust this (or even whether your camera has it) but since you didn't bother to specify the model of your Olympus camera...

Dropped camera shutter doesn't work but video does

Did you remove the battery and replace it after a few moments? this will "reboot" the camera, like a cold boot from a computer. Then try again. I can't believe a landing on the carpet would cause mechanical problems, but you never know. Could be just a setting, and that will be restored after the boot.
