I have an hp officejet pro L7680 printer and am having trouble finding new 88xl cartridges for it. Will the 940xl cartridges work in this printer

Hi there,You cannot install HP 940 Cartriges for Officejet Pro L7650 as they are not compatible and the mechanism is different for both the cartridges,In your printer, the HP 88 fits on the left bottom corner of the printer and the HP 940 cartridges are mounted on the Printhead inside the printer on HP Officejet 6500 AIO.Regards,Suhail

I can't receive faxes on my hp 7680 printer

Blocked print head nozzles Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent blocked print head nozzles. You may have blocked print head nozzles. Try the printer maintenance to clear the printer nozzles. After several deep cleaning attempts and there is no improvements in the print then a new print head is required. Also try - Removing the print head, run it under hot water for 2 mins, then let soak for 10 min. then used a can of compressed air to dry thoroughly. It may fix the blocked nozzles. A new print head maybe expensive and it maybe more cost effective to purchase a new printer.

If your not getting a low ink warning for the cartdridge I would clean the head carfully with some IPA and an ear bud. Also check any electrical connections between the cartridge and the printer

HP Officejet Pro L7680 When printing a power

There is some problem with your print heads. Run a print diagnostic report and see if it helps. You also may want to trigger clean cartridges if triggering print diagnostic page does not help.
This issue may happen if the printer is not used for few days. Recommend to keep the printer powered on always, or then trigger print diagnostic page as it tries to unclog the blocked print heads to give you a clean print.
Hope this helps.
