Creative Labs Zen V MP3 Player - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
When i turn the player
Back up all your music first. Then hold down the play button and power on your device. This should enter it into a recovery screen for factory settings.
I own a Zen V
Hello,
is the Zen V Plus still working even as the display is barely readable?
From the look of things, the screen or inverter of your Zen V Plus is defective, that's why the display is faint. Also, it might be that the contrast was reduced to minimum accidentally.
Though it might be difficult, but check the display settings of your player and see if you can increase the contrast.
But if that's not the problem, then you might have to contact Zen via phone or e-mail and let them know if you can send it over for repairs. Or if its still under warranty, you can replace it for another.
This is because, the screen or inverter of your Zen V Plus is not available for sale, so that's why you have to contact the manufacturers of this player.
I wish you good luck.

After playing, for two to
sounds like the battery is failing ,try running it with charger plugged in and see what happens if its ok then renew the battery if it still does it then bin it as one of the chips is breaking down on the circuit board ,buy a mobile phone with a memory card inside and use that instead like i do ,i have a tape cassete adaptor with a wire and a plug on the end i put cassete into car tape player then plug it into my phone and play thet on a run out ,then nobody bothers breaking into car to steal the old fashioned tape player ,fed up with supplying the junkies with their next fix and it works really well ,or if family complains about my choice of house music i plug my earphones in
Whwere can i find the driver ?

My zen mp3 player
Hi
Try and reset the player by inserting a pointed object inside the small hole, press and hold for 5-10 seconds to let the player reset. If this doesn't work then connect the player with the computer and let it charge. Please check this link for details---

After formatting mp3 player
after formatting mp3 player (it should be completely erase/blank and work as brand new)...hopefully you took the software off and placed in a temp file so that you can put it back right about now (this is very very important)...because if you did not...ummm....you will have a portable hard drive in your hands...(and you would need to find someone with the same type of mp3 to copy just their software not their audio/vids or photos....
FYI...formatting any mp3 (ipod/iriver/jwin or sony) always back the software up on temp file (so that you can reinstall after formatting

Unfortunalty this is an hardware failure there is nothing you can do.

Thanks and have a nice day
