THE PICTURES ARE NOT CENTERD ON THE PAPER THERE IS
Try opening a picture and printing it, except instead of clicking OK to print, find the button that says preferences and check the setting there. Adjusting these settings should help square up the photo on the paper. You may also try using an option in there called Defaults that will print using default settings and that should print just like it did when you first got the printer.
Carriage jam
ouch! take the ink cartrige out and put it back in.
Pump motor stalled
Try this I have had machine similar apart
On the left hand side (Facing the printer) behind side cover sits a micro pump for the ink. Pull cover and check that belt is OK from gear to micro pump. You should be able to just turn back and forth- not too much, the large pulley on the pump. There will be some friction here..... I think you can turn on machine OK with this cover off and see if pulley is turning
HP Photosmart D7360
HP support decided it could not be repaired on line, agreed to replace it but found it was a few days out of waranty...so it is dead in the water. Probably not cost effective to repair it.
Ink system failure
have you unpluged it from the outlet? can you see any paper stuck?
otherwise you have a bad system board and would cost more to fix than just to by a new one.
Wireless printing
Buy an USB ethernet adapter, install it on your laptop and use the printer wired.
This will solve the problem that may be caused by IP conflict or firewall troubles.
HP Photosmart D7360 not seen by PC, despite driver, s/w loaded
Not a solution per se - just a diagnosis. I have decided that the USB out port on the printer is bad - and after wasting time just trying to crack the case, will just use this as a photo printer "offline." It prints beautifully directly from media inserted into any of its onboard slots. I will just have to save things as .jpgs or picture formats to print from this printer. HP didn't have the part available, anyway. I called and inquired.
WILL NOT PRINT FROM THE COMPUTER----
Does this printer accomodate both portriat and landscape paper positioning? If so, the printer may be asking that you change the orientation! Also you may be asking that the printer print to a specific media that may not be present? Check the printer setup, and verify that options have not been added that do not exist on the device. Verify the default paper settings.
Alignment of photo paper
Borderless printing up to 8.5 x 24-inch using brochure and photo paper.
Are you using this specific paper? If so, it may be that the paper sensor is not detecting the paper edge properly. Does the printer act as if it is printing in the blank area?

Hi,
Reset the system by holding down the OK, Cancel, Black, and Color
buttons down at the same time and turn the 3310 off. Keep holding the
buttons down until the printer shuts off and the turn it back on. You
will have to turn the printer off twice and then it will recalibrate.
Make sure you have new cartiges in the printer so that it can reset.
if this doesn't work the only way to clear it is to disassemble it
and soak the bottom of the printhead in hot water then reassemble and
clean the head

Hi rfillmore, I would suggest you update your printer drivers, try this, follow instructions exactly as written:
Create a new folder on your desktop and name it newhpdrivers(substitute your manufacturer in new name). Un-intall printer and printer software completely. Go to manufacturers website and navigate to their drivers/downloads or support menu. Select your model, choose the relevant software and download to the new folder you created on your desktop(watch for the light yellow bar at the top of window viewing pane, click on this and choose – download file - . Power down your computer. Reconnect the printer to the computer and turn printer on. Power on pc. Windows will detect new hardware and ask if you have the manufacturers install cd or a location to check for install files. Direct the wizard to your new software, follow the rest of the setup instructions and your done.

Paper Jam
1. Turn the printer off and open the access cover.
2. Look for any obstructions in the paper path and remove them if necessary. (It is possible to move the carrier assembly with the power off.)
3. Turn the printer on, load some paper, and press the Form Feed button.
4. Watch the paper as it feeds through and try to determine where the jam is occurring.
5. Check to see if all the rollers are turning.
If all the rollers are turning, there may be something in the feed path that you can't see. Go to step 6.
If not, there is probably a feed motor or a gear problem and the printer may require service.
6. If the paper is jamming under the carrier assembly, you may be able to fix it using the manual feed slot.
7. Turn the printer off.
8. Take a #10 envelope and feed it through the left side of the manual feed slot until it comes right through the printer to the back of the exit rollers.
9. Move it up and down first, and then slowly move it over to the right side. If something is stuck under the black guide plate, this may work it loose.
