The error indicates that the system board's on-board memory has failed. This usually requires a service call but you can try to turn off the printer, then turn on after 15 seconds. If the problem continues, I strongly suggest you contact Lexmark technical support or an authorized service provider for assistance. It is probably a faulty black drum unit. I would hazard a guess that something like a corona wire or Primary Charge roller is not transfering charge to the optical drum correctly.

How old are the pcr units (drums). sounds like either a problem with the magenta drum or the magenta toner cartridge is leaking.

Don't change the density / RET on your Color Laser Printer, you can adjust when necessary from your printer driver via your computer.This Magenta issue I see often in this Lexmark Printer, replacing the toner may help, but cleaning the contacts on the transfer belt and dumping the waste hopper, is the only solution.I would only use O.E.M. Toners on this printer.

Have you replaced any components on this printer? This error happens if you replace the display, engine card or interconnect card with one from another printer. Parts are not reusable.

Try to power cycle the printer Ii.e., power off and on).Verify whether machine has power (check fan, LED). Verify if fan is running. If fan is not running, replace LVPS (Low voltage power supply. Part # 40X5409. For further assistance please contact Lexmark Technical Support.
