Check your printer connection and cable to the Ruby. E9004 is saying no connection. Your connection on the back of the Ruby terminal may have come loose or is not seated correctly. Unplug it and then reconnect making sure you have it installed correctly. You may also not have the printer addressed by the Ruby in which case you may have to have your Ruby tech authorize it in the settings unless you are familiar with the maintenance procedure on the Ruby.

Sometimes you think you put it in correctly but it's not. remove it and replace it, I had this problem a few times as I refill my cartridges. Never heard of a printer actually knowing it is not genuine unless it is not made for the printer in question.

What error indicators are being shown? Perhaps you forgot to prime the cartridges. This takes 2 mins. Error indicators are on page 28 of the manual. Hi Have u got a genuine epson cartridge in or a compatible one? Some printers will only take genuine ones

Follow instructions from your manual. If don't have in paper, dhould fine it in PDF on your setup disk on any language.

could be an issue with the system drivers .. if outdated .. they wont be able to recognize the change.. else it could be faulty cartridges .. try cleaning the copper head and reinstall .. if that does not help .. then call 1-877-805-1027 for expert help

Check underneath the toner for ripped paper

take them back to the place you bought them,if they are original epson cartridges,they should work,not if they are refilled though

If the nozzle test doesn't print black, then no black ink is flowing. Run a "head clean", and do the nozzle check again.

Do a "nozzle check". Do you get anything? Did you remove the tape pull-off tabs that let ink flow? If you get nothing or very little with the nozzle check, and you did remove the tabs. do a "head clean" and try again.
