Hi You can Try 2 things. ERROR 5100 means that there is some foreign object blocking your cartridges carriage that disables it from moving. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.
First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.
If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there Next try. It may be a piece of paper or a scotch tape or a staple wire. Solution 1: Clean the timing strip.
Solution 2: The purge cap (the white sliding mechanism that the print head parks to when it's not in use) may be not lubricated well enough .
Lubricate the sliders with some white grease (don't get it on the small wipers or the black caps); this repair probably require to remove the right panel off of the printer to gain access to the purge mechanism. Hi
Error 6A00
The 6A00 is a Canon generic code for paper path jam.
Solution 1: Move the printhead carriage back and forth a few times.
Solution 2: Check the purge unit: Moving the print head assembly will not clear a purge unit if its jammed with paper, paper clips, push pins, screws, cookie crisp, flower bud pods or the like.
Solution 3: Press the ink pads down in the purge unit. Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

Brand new cartridge or refilled one? If refilled cartridge, just wait for 30 minutes after refilling and use good quality of ink. It's caused by bad ink flow. While ink spray (bubbling) form head, ink at ink tank not flow to head.

Error Code 5100

Follow these steps: start off removing the ink tank holder (held in place by the grey lever) and cleaning it with an alcohol solution and paper towel. When the ink tanks are not in use they slide to the right side and rest on a pad that collects excess ink. Mine was loaded up and gel like so I cleaned it as well. With the ink tank removed place your MP600 upside down on the table with a towel underneath to protect the lid, then gave it a few good hits on either side of the lower paper tray.
Duplex printing is only related if the imaged page was not allowed to dry before being re-inserted into the tray.
Was the document blurred? It it was, then ink could have transferred to the rollers.
Since you have cleaned the rollers, then you either have worn rollers or or a worn "Pick" magnet. The tray spring that pushes the tray forward could also be worn.
Oddly enough since you raise the media issue, if you are using "Long Grain" paper as opposed to "Short Grain" paper that could be a source of the problem Short Grain paper allows the page to be more flexible when bending. Long grain paper is stiffer and is tougher to bend.
Its rare that this is a problem but it could happen. Also, make sure you are using paper that is meant for an ink jet printer.
In an ink jet printer, the ink is absorbed into the page, while a laser use heat and pressure to fuse the image onto the top of the page.
Please let me know if this helped you or if you need additional assistance.
this error belongs to carriage jam or mechanism .... my point of view go for a service center and fix it ...if you try you won it may damage your printer
