The Nuvi 750 does NOT include bluetooth capability. I don't know what you saw, or what you think you saw, but Garmin's website is very clear on this issue. NO BLUETOOTH WITH THE NUVI 750

Is the battery charged? What does the battery indicator say? If you are using it in the car, is the power cord connected and working properly? If it is working correctly, you should see a lightning bolt symbol over the battery bar graph showing that it is connected to an external power source and that it is charging.

The updates are YOUR responsibility. Plug the unit into the computer and navigate to garmin.com, you can download maps and updates from their site.
There is no automatic update unless you navigate your browser to the Garmin site.

Hi Vicki, unless your nuvi was first activated and acquired satellite lock in the last 60 days (unlikely as yours was discontinued a long while ago) then you cannot get free map updates, sorry.

For models activated within the last 60 days Garmin offer a free update to the latest maps if the maps already on the product when it was purchased are an older version. After that, all updats must be paid for.

You simply won't find free map updates legally. Accurate maps cost a fortune to produce and update so nobody gives them away, even the few illegal downloads tend not to work and if they do work are likely to be out of date anyway.

The way that Garmin price their map updates, it's often better to simply buy a new Garmin with the maps pre-installed, although I appreciate that's not the answer you hoped for. If you do buy Garmin updates then you can either go for a one-off update, or for additional cost can buy a lifetime update, but it's limited to the lifetime of the device which is only designed to last three years anyway so may be poor value if you buy the lifetime update and your machine then dies of wear or old age.

Please ensure that the device is receiving a charge while it is connected to the vehicle power cable. If the battery is receiving power from the vehicle power cable then the battery icon (located next to the time) would disappear from the Main Menu.
If the unit does not power on while attached to the vehicle power cable please follow steps from below to perform a soft reset:

1. Connect the device to an external power source1
2. Slide and hold the power key to the on position for 15 seconds

The device should power on. Notes:

1. Preferably the vehicle power cable or a USB cable from a computer
2. Some of the older Nuvi 200 series will have a reset button on the bottom of the device. It can be found on the bottom of the device on the same sticker that the serial number is printed on.

If your GPS unit powers down before it can fully boot up, the battery will need to be charged. Please charge the unit with the vehicle power cable or on a computer for at least three hours. After charging the unit, it should power on and function normally. If the unit will not charge in the vehicle, check the fuse in the power cable for the unit and the power outlet in the vehicle.

What size card are you using? I started with a 64gb card only to learn that zumo can only use a 4gb sd. That may be the problem.

The car charger input is +12VDC and +5VDC at the plug that plugs into the Nuvi. Make sure your car +12V outlet is working. Try another device in the outlet. Check that the fuse in the charger tip isn't blown. The tip unscrews. Be careful, the charger tip, fuse and spring can shoot out. Cup your hand over the end while you use the other hand to slowly unscrew the charger tip. You can have a bad charger plug or cradle. you need a T5 security bit...thats a torx with a hole in the center to prevent tampering...they can be bought on ebay, least thats where i got mine. EBAY TORX LISTINGS

make sure you get the security bits or they wont work...i also recommend getting a few other sizes, like from 4-7 due to the poor quality of those screws, sometimes a 5 wont work and you either need a 4 or 6 because it seems no two are the same.

The touch screen on Garmin Nuvi 660 is not working at all. It turns on, but when I touch the screeen, nothing happens. Could it be the battery. It was low, so I charged it for 45minutes, then the gps screen dimmed and turned off after just 10-15 minutes of "messing with it"
