My pc always shutting down whats the cause?

Hello here is the homepage:http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=1863#dlMine did that once; it turned out to be the power settings, in the control panel.Have you downloaded any files recently? If you download a bad file that contains a keylogger, it usaully shuts down the pc, it has happend to me. The problem could also be dust or overheating, lack of ram memory, harddrive failing, dryed out thermal paste, between the cpu and the coolling element.Try to scan for virus with this:http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/And renew the antivirus program for free:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows/security-essentials-downloadI recommend not to use more than one antivirus program.Good luck

Hi all ive got 2 512mb and ive just put in 2 1

You probably need to flash your chipset in order to take that much memory in your pc. What kind of computer is it? what operating system are you using? did you check the specs to see how much memory is the max that your system can take? What chipset is installed? Try removing some of the memory to reduce the load, then flash your bios and reboot. Add the rest of the memory and see if that solves your problem and allows the pc to load as normal.

Win Me will not Boot

Try just using 512Mb of memory or less as there was a bug in Me and 9x that produced that error if you had more than 512 Mb of ram.

I can't connect internet although

first you must have an ISP Internet Service provider contract which will provide you with a modem and leads you can choose either a dial up,usb,or an ethernet connection to connect to the internet or if you have a laptop you can choose a wireless usb modem which can work on a desktop aswell once you recieve the modem just insert the disk provided and follow the prompts to set up your new internet connection during the setup process you will be asked for a password I suggest you make a log of all pass words used outside of your computer incase of memory lapses if you already have the internetyou might have to open up your network connections click start control panel network connections this may vary depending on your operating system look for local area connection if you see a red x or a yellow exclamation or question mark you will need to update or install the driver or it could be firewalled make sure your modem/routers settings are correct ie:password user name, firewall settings to allow your internet to connect also test the lead/s whether usb or ethernet you might check your modem first to make sure that you are getting a connection click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll down network adapters + expand Ethernet driver you might see a yellow question mark? This means you need to update the driver right click you will have options to update driver disable uninstall or select properties general you will have the options to troubleshoot or to update driver rollback or uninstall a yellow? question mark means you need to install/update driver right click to install driver last resort ring your ISP internet sevice provider get them to check your modem for internet access online hope this helps

Ptowreplaced power supply worked 2

It is possible that you might be overloading your power supply unit. Go to this website and calculate how many watts you need for your system. You just have to select the components in your system from the drop down menus and it will calculate your power requirement.
http://extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp
After getting your power requirement (in Watts), replace your power supply with a unit rated at least the recommended PSU wattage. Also note that cheap power supplies usually do not reflect the true wattage output on their labels. Try to get a power supply unit from reputable PSU manufacturers like Antec, Coolermaster, Thermaltake or Corsair.

Hi My MB is Gigabyte GA-8IPE1000

hey.. if your chipset is getting heated badly. then that is a big problem..may be because you don't have proper cooling solutions in your cabinet, and now if it is not starting that means some of it's components like capacitors are blown off. you might have to buy new MB or if this is in warranty period then try to replace. and put some fans there dude good luck!!

Hello, The constant beeping that you are hearing is due to the memory sticks not being recognized or installed correctly. Please check your manual for the motherboard to make sure that the type being installed on the motherboard is the same listed in the manual -this is most likely the problem. If they are compatible then perhaps the cards are not seated fully in their sockets or in the wrong ones for your board.
Good Luck!!

Can i use a ddr2

According to the Gigabyte website

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=1863#sp

that motherboard only has DDR slots (4 of them), so, no you cannot use DDR2 RAM modules.
If you do manage to make it fit, the pins won't line up because DDR can be 184pin or 200pin, and DDR2 can be 214-pin, 240-pin, 244-pin.
Since your memory slots or only DDR, there is no way that the DDR2 would make the connections that it would need to make in order for it to work.
I hope this helps! If not, please comment back and let us know!

I want driver for multimedia

There is no official driver for this motherboard for Windows 7 op. system. I suggest you to use the win XP 32bit version (in case you don't have it, here is the link to download it). Download it at your computer, right click on it, click on properties, click on the compatibility tab and choose compatibility for windows xp, sp3. Click on apply - close. Run as administrator the installation file.
This problem is very common with old hardware and windows 7. At most of the cases this trip works.

In case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post me a reply before rejecting my answer.

I was wondering whats the

By lowering the WATTS from 550 down to 300, you may find the P.C. starts shutting down or restarting, as it does not have enough power to operate everything inside the tower. You need to add up all the WATTS on the different things running on power ( i.e. Motherboard, Graphics Card, RAM, Fans, Sound Card,USB plug-ins, HDD, CD/DVD drive). You maybe not have all listed but by lowering the power might be not worth it to be honest.
