Layer of ice in freezer. How do I access drainage tube to clear i

It is in the freezer compartment but you can try accessing  it from the bottom where it goes into the drip pan. Try using a can of compressed air with a straw held tightly with your fingers and blow out the line backwards.
Not a lot of infor ar pictures in you manual . It does say to make sure it is level and shows hot to do so. See below:

The meat is stuck in

If you are going to cook it , just put some hot water on it to get it loose, then sponge up the water. or use a hair driver just on the meat.

Amana ic6 ice maker

sounds like your ice maker is working properly and that maybe you pinched the water line when you reinstalled it back into the elbow.. is the elbow clear of any ice build up or foreighn matter that would restrict the flow of water into the ice mold tray? If so..that's your problem.. ( thaw it out or melt it and then you should be OK) Hope that helps..

ICE machine won't turn off!!

To turn off the icemaker, raise the metal arm all the way to the top so that it stays in the off position. You can remove it completely by taking out the screws that hold it to the cabinet and unplugging the wiring connector.
Post back if you have any questions.

Amana fridge out

Hello
How do you know if the outlet is ok? Did you try plugging something else into it? You need to make sure that you plug it into the same one and not the one above or below it. Also sometimes the outlet won't have the full 110-120 volts needed to run something. Is it possible that you have had a mouse problem? Mice love to chew on wires and take out appliances. Let me know what happens.

Clump of ice in bucket

That means that the evaporator fan system that releases the the ice cubes is not working as it should.

The evaporator fan and heating system must be checked, and fan, or solenoid, or element must be replaced.

Use the number listed on the owner manual if you want to call a technician.

Enter model number on this website to find schematics and replacement parts.

Refrigerator warm but freezer is fineChanged the evaporator fan (12013211q)for BR18Ve Amana...Is it possible that the part last only a couple of years...

If your bottom freezer has ice build up, (you will see it frosted up), you do not have proper air flow. Check to see if your defrost elements are working. They are in the freezer compartment. in the evaporator. There is a defrost timer on the bottom of your fridge. You can turn the knob until the refergerator turns off, then listen in the frezzer compartment to se if the elements are working. (You will hear them sizzle)

Ice maker drips water

In most of theses cases the dripping is caused by the molding in the ice maker cracking and the water is wicked out. On some ice makers you can replace the complete molding but its usually easier to just replace the ice maker.

Ice maker is dripping into ice bin after water refills?

I had this problem on my refrigerator. I talked to a service tech at the local appliance dealer and here's what he said. There is a valve at the back of the refrigerator (mine is a side by side, but the basics are the same When the Ice maker goes thru it cycle, a part of that cycle is to turn on the water to fill the ice tray, then the next portion of that cycle is to turn off the water. What is happening is that the valve is getting the signal to close but due to mineral build up on the valve surface it is not able to completely shut off.
The solution is to replace the valve. This is not difficult. Turn off the water to the refrig. It's usually runs under the cabinets to the sink and you can see a plastic hose under there with a small handle you can turn to shut it off. Pull the refrig out so you can get to the back and you will see the valve. It will be connected to the same hose that is under the sink Remove and replace the valve. make sure all the little hose fittings are tight. Turn on the water under the sink and check for leaks.

Hope this helps PS you can get a new valve at most any appliance dealer.

Good luck Loringh

Amana ice-maker

Very curious. When you say the tube to the ice maker was disconnected I am unsure as to which tube you are refering to. However hopefully a few pointers might help a damsel. Most units have the water supply enter into the cabinet through a two way water solenoid valve (i.e. one for chilled water one for the ice maker). It then normally enters the top of the freezer section for the ice maker. It then drops down inside the freezer section to the icemaker module. Therefore the only control over the water for the icemaker is the solenoid valve which is controlled by the icemaker "module". A trick is to switch the control at the solenoid valve so that you can use the chilled water dispenser to check if the water valve for the icemaker is working. If it is then you probably have a problem with the icemaker module or the temperature in the freezer section (which you would probably have noticed if that was the case). If you have a problem with the module then you normally have to replace the module as they dont like supplying spares for modules.
Anyway hope this is of some help and good luck.

ps model is normally near the salad drawer or top of the fridge section dependent on brand.

Fridg not cold

Ahhhh, the classic symptom of a frozen coil/air return duct. You'll have to pull the back panel off the freezer wall to view the coils. The are likely a block of ice causing the air channels on the sides to be frozen, thus blocking air flow. You may need a defrost t-stat or a defrost timer. If the defrost cycle isn't working then you will get a freeze up eventually. The only other reason is if the freezer door was left open slightly overnight letting in moist air. Let us know what you find.
