Step 1: Check all connections from the display to the PC
Step 2: Make sure the button for the Display if pushed to the on

One bad/faulty lead can cause a computer with lots of problems replace all the leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA and the ones that attach from your motherboard to hard drive make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they are probably old and faulty ? hope this helps

No jumpers or switches need to set. If your going to upgrade/change your memory, just make sure that the memory your're going to insert are compatible with your motherboard. Check the system bus of your memory slots if what are the maximum system bus can support of that motherboard. Like example; DDR PC266 to PC400 or PC400 to PC800, make sure that you are not exced the maximum requirements of the memory for your motherboard it is because they cannot recognize your memory.

faulty memory modules,,, clean them with an eraser and then fix them again. ur problem is resolved

i have the same problem u just check out ur device manager what it shows whether what is the status of ur hd dudio if it is working or not if not enable enable it chekc ur bios setup also and all fail then format again and reinstall ur operating sysm hope u get rid off ur problem

rest your bios settings put away your vcmos for 15 minutes also u can rest your bios with jumper settimgs near ly the cmos cell set it in 2-3 positon then start the computer then again set in its original position.

learn to google, old PCs , as yours seems to be t ATX form factor and 250w to 500 watt ATX PSU that has bundles of IDE 4pin molex connecters there will work. legacy PSU. any will work. that era (IDE-PATA)
