How do I Lower the pressure foot for sewing after changing from embroidery on my brother pc- 8500?

Would a manual help? Brother PC 8500 User Manual Are the feed dogs in the raised position? Is it a regular stitch presser foot or a darning foot? A darning foot is shorter in height so the fabric can be maneuvered without use of the feed dogs. Just some ideas. Could also be an embroidery setting that has not been deactivated....

How do you change the main board

It doesn't look like there is much specific information about that online. You could carefully disassemble the sewing machine, remove the board, and connect the new board. Make sure to take a lot of pictures so you remember how to put it back together again. If you don't feel comfortable figuring it out yourself, I'm sure there are sewing machine repair shops that could handle it. Finding the replacement board might be tricky as well.

Brother pc 8500 upper thread breaks

Check the spindle the thread is mounted on and see if it\'s wrapped around it. Sometimes thread will catch and wrap around the spool spindle and break.Check thread guides to be sure there are no nicks that might be catching the thread or damaging it.Replace the needle.. a burr in the eye can cause upper thread to break. Needles should be replaced often, modern fibres can be hard on them, they get dull and that\'s no help for anything either.Make sure the thread spool is mounted on the spindle with the thread coming off as directed in the manual. Some machines only work when the thread feeds in the right direction from the spool. It can also be a tension issue.. tight upper tension or tight bobbin tension. Bobbin tension may be adjustable manually, but it\'s pretty rare for it be a problem. Upper tension, I don\'t know. I\'ve yet to get into computer machines so am not familiar with how they set upper tension. But the mechanism that produces the tension can wear out or break and need replacement.

Why does upper thread break?

Check your tension, especially the tension disks for loose thread. Then rethread the whole thing.

Pc-8500 how to calibrate touch screen

ADJUSTMENT

1. Turn on the power switch while holding down the start/stop button, backtack button, and

NP button simultaneously.

2. While holding down the start button, press the + positions 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 on the screen in

order. If the buzzer sounds once when 5 is pressed, the position is okay. If the buzzer

sounds several times, the position is erroneous; therefore, adjust again. (When pressing

the screen, use a pencil (or match) with a round tip.)

3. Turn on the power again, and confirm that the screen display and touch panel positions match.

Position of Touch Panel.

It's been awhile, but I think you go into the test mode then hit one of the hard keys (start, threader, reverse). I know there is a backdoor for this. On newer Brothers you touch the screen and hold while powering on, but I'm not sure yours does it that way.

My brother exedra e-40 #db2-b737-413

  1. In the event that changing the needle didn't determine the issue, have a go at rethreading the machine, guaranteeing legitimate pressure, and cleaning the bobbin region for any build up or garbage. On the off chance that the issue continues to happen, consider counseling the machine manual or looking for proficient help.

Question edited for clarity. A DB2 is a car made by Aston Martin, but this appears to be a sewing machine. All question need 'make model (what it is)' as first 3 words please. Question moved from Computers category to Brother Sewing. This is the only resource I can find for Brother Error 03 E03 Cause This message is displayed when the buttonhole lever is up, a buttonhole stitch is selected, and a button, such as the "Start/Stop" button, is pressed.
