Yes. PE-DESIGN is one of the programs allow you to transform pictures/images into embroidery. There are companies that will do it for you if you want only particular pictures done so that you won't have to purchase the program. There are other programs available and some of them are very expensive. I think that PE-DESIGN by Brother is one of the more inexpensive brands that are very good. Try taking the bobbin case out and re-insert. It sounds like the case that holds the bobbin is not inserted correctly. You might also try checking to be sure that the needle is inserted properly. Sometimes the needle gets loose and drops down too low. unscrew, push the needle up as far as it will go, then tighten the screw.

I suggest having the top tension checked by a sewing machine technican,, and since the bobbin case screw is painted with green ,, I suggest having it checked also to make sure the tension is correct on it. also make sure the bobbin is inserted correctly--counter clock-wise..

You probably have the wrong bobbin. The small ones don't fit properly.

Hi, the only reason I can think of is that it might be the fan belt that moves the arm that is causing the problem. Best to take it in to a professional to look at it for you. Good luck

Some machines do not have a centered needle as a default. That is just how they were made. If she can reposition the needle to the center, then that is a pretty good option. Most older machines with the offset needles default do not have a centering option. (I have an old Nelco that has an offset default--works just fine but I just have to remember that when stitching, the seam line will not be in the center of the presser foot.)

need to check the hook timing. put it in zig zag, no fabric, turn the hand wheel to you slowly. check the needle when it is coming back up, is the hook picking up the thread? if yes continue to check the next side, so if you check the left side then check the right. if any side its not picking up the thread then the timing is off and need to be retimed
