Can i hook up a wireless card to a dell latitude

Hello. yes you can go that way but the easiest way is to get the wireless adapter that just plugs into one of your USB outlets.

My fiance is the the military! I sent him my old

I bought my sister a Dell laptop that didn't have a dial up modem in it, never saw one that didn't have one.
Dell sells a dial up modem that goes into the usb port for about $35, which I sent to her and it works. Basically it is just an external dial up modem.
Give it a try, just call the dell help phone number.

Sound dell latitude c800

Well, the drivers for the Dell C600 should work the same with any changed palmrest, I have swapped the same parts many times, so I would first assume the speakers to be bad, if nothing on the mainboard or software changed

Dell latitude laptops cpi cpx won boot up

If you don't get any fans from the CPU spinning, then there is a problem with actually tripping the power supply in the laptop.

The normal boot sequence is as follows:
1. Power is applied, fans spin
2. CPU receives power and then BIOS is checked
3. RAM then is detected and rest of the system components are quickly checked by BIOS
4. Hard drive is checked for boot sector.

Ask somebody to check the laptop to see if the voltage and amperage from the charger is within tolerance. If it is higher than 130% higher than listed in the voltage or more than 15% higher in the amperage, then the laptop is damaged.

If it is within tolerance, then try removing the actual battery first. If this doesn't help, have somebody check the hard drive. If this boots up in another laptop of the same model, then there is a problem with the transformer in the laptop.

Lcd

Need to always TEST the VGA output to determine what action to take, the video card and cables could be good, the LCD could be broken, the cable inside the LCD panel is flex and typically in good shape but easy to replace, the inverted is at the bottom inside the LCD case, also easy to replace. The backlight is the most work and not recommended to novices! However, when you're broke...

C600 not starting

Check memory and CPU first, typically they cause shut offs. Try battery, AC to laptop and AC via port replicator. Borrow one if need be, but it's good to check these options

Hmmm, Typically safe mode overcomes most errors, You can make changes in MS-Dos, but if all else fails and you fear data loss, daisy chain the hard disk to another computer with matching OS and move the important files then wipe and re-format
