Hi when I turn on

The fan blade may be loose on the shaft. If so, you can often fix this by applying some Super Glue to the point where the blade meets the shaft.

MY PANOSONIC INVERTER SHUTS DOWN

Check again. If it stops at 16 seconds and is a sensor model, it probably has a defective humidity sensor. Order Panasonic parts from Encompass here or you can call them toll-free at 866-779-5835.

Counter top lights not working. new bulbs replaced. still not working.

We see (and repair) this a lot. The problem is on the control panel, which we regularly repair nationwide by mail for $39.95. At our Web site, you can get details of our service, plus we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes. This light failure often occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first unplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such a failure on the controller. The lights can can be inoperable or stuck on or stuck in "night light" mode. Sometimes this will similarly affect the fan operation or inside light, too. We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

I have an over-the-range Panasonic microwave model

Hi, if the digital programmer circuit / controller does not get a feedback signal from the inverter for a period of 3 seconds, the controller will stop the cook cycle.
It may be a loose connection in the wiring between the inverter, magnetron, and/or control board, or maybe one of those components has failed.
If it stops at 16 seconds and is a sensor model, it probably has a defective humidity sensor.
If it stops after 7 seconds, it has a problem with the inverter.
If it stops after 22 seconds, that means the controller has detected a problem, usually a problem with the inverter, controller, magnetron, or a bad connection from one or the other.
So you have to use this as a guideline in troubleshooting and finding the exact cause of the problem, get the faulty part and replace it if and only you are technical sound and inclined.
And remember kindergarten rule #1 "If in doubt, don't" with everything that is potentially dangerous. Electricity kills so a service repair bill may be a better solution.
Due to the lethal voltages used and produced in inverters, i advice you should be very careful when trying to fix the microwave

I HAVE A PANASONIC NNSS277S OVER THE RANGE

IMHO this is an expensive microwave and it is pretty poor that the door mechanism is so weak considering that it gets constant stress from opeing and closing the door and especially since the part that breaks is integral to the expensive control panel. I have the same problem with my microwave after only 2 1/2 years of use. After some fiddling I got it apart as follows. Remove the three screws that hold on the top grille (above the door) on and lift off the grille. Turn off the power to the microwave at the switch panel. Remove the two screws above the control display that are now visible after removing the top grille. Do NOT pry this panel off, slide it upwards to unlatch the hooks and lift it off carefully. There are a lot of wires which you will have to unplug (note their locations although none of the plugs are interchangeable) and separate the panel from the microwave. You can now check the latch itself and open the door by putting your finger under the lift latch and genly pushing upwards. If the door won't open the problem is in the latch mechanism which can be removed by taking out the two screws on the inside of the case an unplugging the many wires (note locations, a couple of them can be plugged back in the same place). If the problem is the same as the one I had it is in the actualy release button assembly where one of the brackets are broken. You will either have to replace the whole display & control panel or glue the bracket back together. I'm in the process of trying to glue it with epoxy but I can't vouch for how reliable the repair will be. Remove the screws that secure the control panel metal reinforcement and unplug the flat cable then remove it carefully. If either of the plasting pivot brackets moves it is broken. With the metal plate removed the problem should be obvious.

My microwave stopped working.

If there is nno heating please do not switch on unless you have confirmed the fault. It is possible that the Magnetron is not working If this was stored, it is quite possible that insect can get into the oven and create soft spots. When you switch on these will create a short and make the voltage jump and in the long run damage the magnetron.
So Remove cover after disconnecting , check for dirt/moisture in the cabin, if so wipe clean and dry, check the magnetron and area clean and use an jet air to clean off.
Now keeping clear switch on , use a cup of water inside to test.
The magnetron or the main HT capacitor or the temperature cut off unit mounted on the side of the cabin can be faulty. replace with same type.
If there is heating without any issues , you can use the microwave safely

I have a Panasonic genius dimension4 nn-9853

Most probably the low voltage transformer of in the control panel is open . It has a thermal fuse which is between pin1 and pin 5 of the low voltage transformer. This fuse is however inside the transformer. If you get a DC resistance of about 350- 400 ohms between pin 5 and 6 of the transormer , connect an external 500ma fuse between pin 1 and pin5
