You can buy dishwasher salt in almost every supermarket. It can usually be found in the section with other household cleaning products such as soaps and washing powders. Make sure you are buying dishwasher salt. Do not use table salt or any other type of salt not designed for use with dishwashers.

There should be a (2 or 3 prong) plug at the end of that wire ! Contact the seller. It usually runs on a 120 volt outlet. So, the worst case is you'll have to attach a 3-prong plug to those bare wires. Hope you got the (plumbing) connector kit as well...

I've got one of these countertop washers at home. The twist off dispenser you're talking about is for the jet dry (at least on mine) and there should be an area on the right side of the door for your soap. Hope this helps!

You need to have the RIGHT couplings so that the inlet is secured correctly to maintain the right water pressure to the washer. A visit to the hardware shop, plumbing section could help a lot to get the right choice of coupling to mate the hose from the outlet to the machine. You can use teflon if the thread is too loose and makes a leak.

your problem is most likely the front panel itself. can you see if the water is coming from the front? this is quite a simple machine and there isn't many places the water would come from other then the hoses or the front panel under the door.
