The fan is bad. From the back it is in the left bottom corner.

Hi,
This Sony model does not have any lamp timer that needs to be reset.
Its DLP TV, replace lamp and turn On TV, system control chip will sense new lamp and will update related data automatically.

the lamp is located if you are standing in front of the tv, on thr right hand side behind the screen on the side of the tv there is a thumb screw that you have to remove with a flat head screwdriver then you can remove the door and see the lamp inside.

There is a problem with a particular part, not sure which one, but SONY is aware of this problem and will have it replaced free of charge. Contact SONY service.

I am not sure which fan you need from the parts list but I did find this one that is listed as FAN, COOLING DC ENGINE the part number is 1-787-333-11.
I usually order my parts from Andrews Electronics in California, they will have the OEM components that you will need.

I recommend the phone order so you can talk to the person about the price and availability, also they are pretty good at getting you the right part if I did not find the exact one you need.

you need a new bulb look on the back of you tv get serial number and model number call manufacture they will be able to tell you how much you bulb will be and if you want them to replace it you have to fax your reciept and must be with warranty period and they will ship you another on and you have to return blown out one. if you are outside warranty they will tell you how much bulb is an offer you an extended warranty.

Look down the page a little at the One call site, and you shoud see where you can download the owners manual in pdf format. After download simply go to page 104 for instructions on lamp replacement. Hope this helps!

If the Picture has Video and is all green or yellowish green, you probably need a Optical Block. Sony has extended the Warranty on these Optical Blocks but you need to contact them quickly. It is a very expensive part and they should take care of all the Parts and Labor involved.

4 blinks is a fan error, check and see if the fans are clogged with dirt. Unplug the set then take the back off and get some canned air and blow the fans out.

Thats the error for a faulty lamp driver ( Ballast) heres a link to the ballast for your model.

If the STANDBY light flashes three times in sequence, the lamp cover is not securely attached. Reattach the lamp cover to resolve this issue.

NOTE: You may have to replace the lamp also if the issue persists.

Hi!

Please try disconnecting all the cables from the TV then reconnecting them back after a few minutes. You may also try connecting the power cord from the TV directly to a functional wall outlet. If the issue persists then the projection lamp needs to be replaced.

Lamp Driver ( ballast) is defective. You can get a new ballast at the following link.

Its symptom of weak lamp so TV needs new lamp.

bad optical block call sony they have a recall

Green tint is caused by a burned or distroyed filter in the optics. It must be removed and sent out to be
rebuilt or replaced.

Replace the fan cleaning or lubricating will not last.
