Well, it sounds like whoever the vendor is has added shipping and possibly tax. Without more information, I couldn't say for sure. I suggest you check the product on amazon and overstock.com to see if there is a better deal.

Open the bottom of the machine to see if the belt has broken or jumped off it's pulleys. If looks ok, check both pulleys to see if they are fixed firmly to their respective shafts. Order any needed parts from your local appliance parts store, or search online for same. Hope this helps!

It could be that liquid coolant got into the low-pressure part of the cooling system when it was on its side, and is preventing the expansion valve from doing its job converting high-pressure liquid coolant to gas. My recommendation is to unplug it, wait the 24 hours, and plug it back in. Excess fluid should have drained to the bottom of the cooling system by then, and normal cooling can begin.
