Turn off the refrigerator and remove the power cord from the wall socket.
Unscrew the thermostat / dial and gently pull it out of it's holder....
There is a tiny pipe on the back of the thermostat / dial.
Gently pull that tube out of the pipe that it is in.
The most likely reason for the lack of cooling is that there is a layer of gunk on that tube.
Take coarse cloth or pot scrubber and clean that tube gently...
Replace the tube in the pipe and see if refrigerator runs properly....
If not, new refrigerator needed....

Geoff
water drip tray is usually located under on on top the compressor? at bottom of fridge can pull out at front or back Check ice and water filter: If equipped, the Ice and Water filter in your refrigerator is responsible for removing any debris or contaminants from your water that may still remain after local water treatment. Most filters contain and are made up of carbon and fabric filter. Over time, the filter may become restricted and reduce the water flow to the ice maker, causing a symptom of little or no ice. Most manufacturers recommend replacing the filter every 6 months but local water conditions may require that you replace more frequently. Lastly a clogged drain line can cause a foul smell and get into the ice and water as we,,.
the list of causes --- yes on bad compressor will cause failure --as well as thermo safety -thermostat --low no freon --dirty condenser -fan failure --circuit failure -are a few
The most likely cause for the fridge becoming too cold after a period of time is an issue with the thermostat. Unfortunately, the thermostat for the Danby DFF100C2BSSDD is not easily accessible and will require a qualified technician to diagnose and repair.
Its probably the heater element. The Thermal cutout should be closed circuit. The bimetal can be open or closed depending on temperature. I am not familiar with these fridges. You will need to check the wiring diagram. Some open when they get warm, to allow a neutral path some close to complete the electrical circuit. Check for continuity of the bimetal when its been in the freezer overnight, then remove it and check if it goes open when warm (Or vice versa) If yours is an electronic defrost, it could be the board.
main point of control is the thermostat the wire has to go somewhere disconnect fridge from power source have a closer look where wire has come off.Fridge is freezing because its running continuously compressor is not turing off or ramping down if inverter controled.
